Alejandro Moreno It's better than the Dam. Statistically and cost of money. You can go on KZbin and look up what is better between the Dam and the Defender and all of the comments will say the Defender is better. The Dam costs $1,500 and the Defender costs $750.

I'm strictly a MagFed player but I would get this for friends who want to borrow a gun to see if they want to get into it or any new player who is young and not mag fed driven ... changing mags is a bit of a skill you have to practice especially to keep up with hopper players ... cool gun ... I don't like the battery

Plus the slower trigger response due to the motor and feed mechanism, and the fact that you can't really fire down to the last shot which could make a big difference in scenario games

Isaac W you understand that any barrel over 14 actually slows down velocity cause of friction in the barrel plus what type of bypod for what reason cause last time i cheched you arent gonna shoot at anyone in paintball that doesnt have the ability to hit you back

if the thing weighed 4 times as much, had ANY recoil whatsoever, and could shoot more than a few hundred feet accurately then a bipod would be a good idea. Paintball markers don't have any of these qualities

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't the apex make matching bore size to your paint kind of pointless? The accuracy increase that you get from matching bore sizes is going to be negated because the apex is going to change the direction that the ball flies anyway. I guess it would help when you're not using the apex, or when you have the ramp all the way down but I feel like the two of them together kind of counter each other.

You are correct. the spin the apex tip adds to the ball will alter the flight course of the ball not making it as accurate at the long ranges the apex barrel is meant to be used at. However by matching the bore of the barrel to your paint your not only getting accuracy but also consistency and increased efficiency. So while you are using the apex tip you at least get the consistency and efficiency. Also for closer opponents you are absolutely correct you can retract the ramp and use the freak inserts to there full capabilities.

The amount of paint it holds and how fast it can shoot depends a lot on which hopper and tank you're using. The product description does state though that you should be able to shoot 20 bps with continuous loading.

Speed feed, it's a lot more faster if you're in combat. Is which you are in for 3/4 of the time. That's just my opinion. Use what you like bro

Works great for both Pepper Rounds, Salt Rounds, Rubber Rounds, & Marbles(for Defense Obviously), only thing I'd recomend it NOT be used for is GlassBreakers/Solid Metal Rounds(there an awesome Less Lethal Defense round but do a number on loader based Paintball Guns)

hey! Great video! So I am looking to buy a paintball gun MOSTLY for home defense and just shooting fun. I will rarely if at all be playing Paintball. I'm looking for a gun with the MOST powerful shot and one that looks as real as possible. I have come across the BT Dfender and the Tiberius T15... Do you have any suggestions or can you tell me which one you would get?? ( I know very little about paintball guns lol) I will be putting the Glass/Rubber defense balls, or the Nylon balls in. Like I said my main desire is to have a real looking weapon, that fires hard enough to take down an intruder wearing a jacket, pants and so on. Thanks a lot!

How do you go about cleaning the gun if a ball breaks in the feeding mechanism?

at about 7:20 in the video he shows how to open up the gun a bit to access where the paint goes. If you need to clean more than that, you may need to take the body of the gun apart by unscrewing it.

This gun retails for 1300$ and is on sale for 750$ *IF* you have that kind of money there’s a handful of markers that’ll be WAAAY better than this bulk of plastic (which brings me to my next point) for that price tag they could’ve made this marker aesthetically better and they could’ve implemented a quieter hopper or something, but it’s whatever...

What's the point of inserts

It's so you can make the bore size of your barrel match the size of the paintballs. You get the best accuracy and distance when you're barrel is the right size for the paintballs. Depending on humidity and temperature and other things like that, paintballs can change size slightly and having an insert system means you don't have to carry around a bunch of different barrels, which would cost a lot more than using the insert system.
