@@eduardochavacano nakakatawa. i have watched the opening number of MUT and all i hear was drum rolls and beats, something that audience cant sing along with. I agree that the drum rolls added to the excitement of the presentation, but it has a less impact post production in compared to a full song where people can sing even after the show. This opening song from MUPh is much more memorable than a drum roll. Lol.

To those who aren't aware of this song's genre, this is under "synth-pop". Synth-Pop songs are heavily influenced by 80s music styles. They are usually very neon and upbeat. I've noticed that MUP2020 used alot of synthpop in their soundtrack this year. I also heard it on the song used for Evening Gown, even the entire staging for this year seem to be influenced by 90s or 80s styles. Interestingly, that 90s inspired trend is in again from fashion to music. The production this year is very retro-modern I must say, and it's amazing considering there's a pandemic going on. Those who say the production is shitty or outdated, and keep on comparing it to Thailand's aren't knowledgeable enough about different art styles, concepts and production events like this. They only see the superficial, the surface and not the value of it.

Thanks Jessica Sanchez for vibrantly giving interpretation to the song. Just like what others said, make this a trademark of MUP...and use it as the opening song to MUP pageants in the years to come.
