As someone who grew up on and lives on a farm this is exactly how my parents would act when I would skimp out on the amount of hay I was feeding the horses when I was younger. It’s important that any domesticated animal is well fed and watered.

As someone with a USDA License, he is absolutely correct. When they come for inspections they are not going to educate you as they go. They provide you with exactly how each animal should be fed. They write it up with instructions or site the code of how it’s done and you are fined. What he is saying about their diets is spot on! Diarrhea can cause dehydration and other problems in the animal.

Plus too much fruit can cause diabetes! Porcupines are like Guinea pigs or rabbits,the need fresh greens and roughage. We only gave our rabbits fruit occasionally,as a treat.
