The staff makes all the difference at the arcades. We've had so many great experiences with the workers and that's one of the main reasons why we enjoy it so much as a hobby. We've had one or two occasions where the workers were really rude or actually were trying to prevent us from winning, and it takes away all the fun. Sometimes they forget that's the point. Some people in the comments are suggesting spy glasses. You can also look into something called the DJI Osmo pocket if you're interested. It's really tiny and can be used to record discreetly. Great video regardless :D

I've looked all over the Round One website both Japan and USA and there is nothing in the house rules about taping. It's not even mentioned, so I think it's BS they tell her she can't tape. The Round One's in the US allow taping.

Although there is no specific rule against it Round ones in japan are against taping as they fear it'll (unfortunately) skew the odds to the players favor by teaching them how to win. And sadly as private properties they have the right to enforce "no recording" rules in their establishment. Round ones in America are less strict about this since claw machines and arcades like them aren't a big part of american culture. Also, as well a small outsourced branch of the round one company, they are less concerned with people taping. For example a round one in the USA will have 12-20 claw machines at most, whereas japan locations have an entire floor dedicated to claw machines alone. In short, economically Americas economy is not greatly affected by the arcade lifestyle where as japan is actually greatly influenced by arcades and claw machines. (Just my opnion/resoning)

I wonder why they're so picky about the claw games...other then the fact they're rigged... You might want to invest in a tiny go pro. I think the Hero 4 version is literally a small cube, smaller then a credit card. If you attach it to your backpack and camo it to match your backpack strap...they might not notice. No idea the sound quality but as others have said you might want to stop talking in arcades that don't allow filming. Talking to yourself draws attention. You could always film and then do a voice over.

C’mon y’all- the arcade workers have a job to do in regards to the camera in certain areas & they probably face disciplinary actions if they are caught not enforcing the rules. That they give her a break & take a chance on their jobs for the gem game is standup of them- but unless you would be ok with people saying ugly things about you for just doing your job at your work, you should lay off these arcade workers.

Fun fact for all of you people saying she "breaking the rules" ect; she actually isnt. If there are no signs saying "no filming" in and around the arcade, or on thier official website (which it is not) then they have no right stopping her. They probably didn't like the fact she was winning a lot of prizes. I get that when me and my friend win thousands of tickets in the matter of an hour. They don't like it and check to see if you are cheating. After all she was winning prizes pretty easily compared to most people. :)

I mean I understand wanting to show people how to win these games, but calling the workers "mean" for trying to enforce rules is a bit childish. It's possible that their jobs are on the line, as the establishment losing money = it can't remain in operation. Any laws and rules aside, it's rude to keep bringing the camera out after you've been told multiple times to stop filming. You kinda come off as greedy and disrespectful. And that is not a good example to set for your younger viewers. Most especially, your own kids. It just shows them that they can break rules to get what they want. Not saying they'd automatically come to that conclusion and follow suit, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. The enthusiasm for the games is great and it's nice to see that you play for others who can't make it to the games. But persistently breaking the rules and then griping about the employees following you around? You shoot yourself in the foot.
