Massive pro tip: Take a picture of the UPCs next time and just stop at the scanner before hitting the aisle. Usually you have to have the brightness all the way up, make sure the image is clear. Save yourself some time. Nice hual 🎉!

Even if they were at the RRP and not discounted they probably would’ve been a good thing to get! Awesome video and hopefully 1 of the 3 stores in town are not sold out. On the recording in public, its part of the First Amendment "Freedom of Press". The question of privacy, there is no expectation of privacy in public. The only true place of privacy is inside your home. I read and watch a bit about this kind of thing.

Being that a store is private property, and not public property, the store has every right not to allow video recording inside, but seriously, what is up that lady's butt that she has a problem with it? Also, could she not show some common decency (if it is even still classified as being such today), and respect, and inform the customer that filming is not allowed without the bitchy attitude and tone to her voice. Sure, the lady at the first stop was inquiring about the filming, but that was merely an issue of curiosity rather than some power-tripping rush that the other lady felt from enforcing some policy that may not even exist. I believe, I would have noted that lady's name, perhaps it is on the receipt, and I would have called the store at an appropriate time to speak to a manager to determine if they did have such a policy, and if so, ask if it is a corporate policy or if it varies from store to store. If they allege it to be a corporate policy, then I would mention how I had patronized x number of stores on that same exact day, and she was the only one who had any kind of issue with me recording, although I wasn't even recording her. Then, I would try to conclude the phone call by stating that the main issue I had was with her informing me of the policy with such a high level of attitude that she was nothing short of being completely disrespectful. I have several valid points that I could make here in this comment, but it is already TL;DR for most people, so I will not. However, should the manager show any amount of disrespect, come across with attitude, or show any annoyance by my conversation with them, then I would prolong the call as long as possible just to waste their time by delving deep into details regarding this unpleasant exchange I had experienced with one of their employees . . . for a manager should illustrate even more self-control than their employees when it comes to dealing with unsatisfied customers. Should the manager be disrespectful to me, then I shall return the disrespect by showing no concern for their time by determining how well I could manage managing the manager to remain on the call with me. However, if the manager handles the call properly, without being rude nor disrespectful, and without showing any signs of being annoyed or irritated with me, then I would keep the conversation short by making one final point, that being a reiteration of how I felt the employee's tone of voice, and the disrespect she had for me was unacceptable, and not appropriate for someone in her position. However, should it be a case of like employee, like manager, then I would determine how long I could manage managing the manager to remain on the call with me, wasting as much of their time as possible! Seriously, what was her problem? All that would have been required of her was to inform me of the store's policy, and request that I respect their policy by stopping my recording sans attitude, and I would have immediately stopped recording, and the manager wouldn't even know that I existed. I would have a basis for understanding where the employee was coming from if I had been recording her image. Seems to be akin to those people who expend such a tremendous amount of effort, and time in looking for something to complain about. It is one thing to have something happen to you, an experience which you feel you have a right to complain about . . . but it is a whole other world to go out and seek things about which to complain. Seems like utter insanity to seek out every last negative aspect of everyday living instead of just enjoying life with all of its wonders, and joys, while paying no mind to the negative items that remain invisible, and have no detrimental effect upon you unless you intentionally seek them out! Nothing but complete, and utter, lunacy! I hope that lady felt good!

A store may be open to the general public, but it is still legally classified as private property, and that is why a store has the right to trespass undesirables from their property. Typically the litmus test for determining if one has a right to film people is whether or not their location provides them a reasonable expectation of privacy. If one is outdoors on the street, or on the sidewalk, then they have no expectation of privacy, and a videographer has no legal obligation to receive their permission to be filmed. Basically, that permission to be filmed is given the instant one steps into a public area. When one films from a public sidewalk, they have the right to film anything that they can see from that location with their own eyes . . . nearly anything. One can not film a person through a window who is inside of their home, for even without blinds or a curtain drawn shut, they still have an expectation of privacy, nor can you film their yard when they have a privacy fence erected. Yet, the same is also true for drones, for if a drone flies around a property at a low altitude and takes pictures that can't be seen from the street, that would violate privacy, even a police drone can not legally perform such an action. You do need to have your recording device visible when recording any public face-to-face conversations so everyone involved knows they are being recorded (but I guess that doesn't apply in the same manner to all of the federal government's cameras they have installed at most major intersections across the nation, nor to the high-powered cameras they have installed in the tethered weather balloons. However when it comes to stores, the situation is rather unique, for they are open to the general public, but are define as private property. Now, the laws regarding the right to record in retail stores does vary somewhat from state to state. However, recording is generally permitted in settings like retail stores, as long as it's done for safety or security reasons. In "all party" consent states, consent is required to record private conversations between customers, and employees, and it is also required to record private appointments, like styling consultations. Employers can institute a no-recording policy for employees, but it must be neutral and have a valid reason. However, this is not true for government workers who are public servants and work in a government building which is open to the public, and thereby not considered private property.
