This is the first video in a tutorial series on how to create and animate invisibility and wave cloaking in the open-source software Blender. It is assumed the viewer has a basic familiarity of Blender. The video introduces the concept of invisibility and cloaking using methods from the poplar transformation optics technique. It begins by demonstrating a cloaked object with an animation of a wave wrapping around the object as if the object were not there. The video goes on to introduce the basic concepts needed to understand the approach. Topics include Cartesian coordinates, spherical coordinates, converting from one system to the other, and the coordinate transform needed to make a cloak.
