She had the biggest dress collection in Europe, probably the best jewelry collection. She was vain and beautiful but was very gifted at foreign diplomacy. And kept her word to not execute anyone. And gave Catherine the great a foothold and blueprint to follow.

@@savagedarksider2147Ivan was a child, and definitely a Puppet Ruler. He was the Tsar, but only in name + Palace Coups were common in Russia (Catherine did one against her husband).

This is a portrait of Peter3 and Catherine2. Peter2 was emperor after Catherine 1 and before Anna Ioanovna. He was not married and died young.

She was overly obsessed with frivolity while her people starved. Instead of helping her people, she partied with that money. Shameful.

Thanks for a video with some interesting facts I didn´t know, but I wish so to speak (and I hope you don´t mind that) to correct some small things here. 1) The portraits shown when Elizabeths parents are mentioned are not her parents. It is Peter III, who succeeded Elizabeth, and his wife (who by the way became Catherine II ) 2) Peter the Great was not directly succeeded by empress Anna. Inbetween were Catherine I and Peter II. (When Elizabeth siezed power she overthrew Ivan VI. (Hoverver he was a small child , so other people must have been ruling in his name.) 3) I thought the Winterpalace was more or less finished in 1759,. Elizabeth died in 1762.

Elizabeth was the daughter of Peter the Great, while Ivan was only the great-grandchild of Ivan V. He didn’t deserve imprisonment, but Peter executed/tortured his own son… Russian Tsars aren’t kind.
