I brought some of those shower steamers a while ago. We don't have a usable bath so I was thinking this is amazing. I can still get the spa like bath feel. I was sooo disappointed. Absolute waste of money. You get the same effect from a yummy smelling shower gel or just some drop of scented oil.

Completely agree! A nice body wash is 100x more satisfying. However, I have heard that the Lush shower steamers work well…

CeraVe moisturizing cream is my favorite. People here go crazy for vanicream but I can’t stand the film it leaves. I use the CeraVe year round.

The Mecca face oil has been great for me but i have dehydrated, sensitive, eczema skin so my skin soaks it up. The Mecca vitamin C irritated me. But the Ren, Kiehl's or Rose Inc vitamin C are gentler formulations that worked for me.

Try Tranexamic acid instead of Vit. C. Apparently better for dark spots and melasma and brightening the skin because it’s good for acting against melanocytes.

I agree 100% with the Mecca face oil, I don't like the scent, and it's too greasy for my oily skin :( I mix one drop with my moisturiser at night to make it work for me, but I don't know how it'll take me to get through the whole thing (full size!) like that 😬

Kat have you tried the light green lightweight curl shampoo and conditioner by maui moisture. I was floored by how great my hair was after 1 wash! It minimised my fizz like nothing else I've ever used without weighing ir down. It still gets fizzy day two but less than usual.

No I haven’t! It’s half price at woolies at the moment so I might check it out! I just bought the DermaVeen Oatmeal Conditioner for Dry, Flaky or Sensitive Scalps (which is half price at Chemist Warehouse) and it’s been really nice so far! I used it yesterday for the first time and my hair feels really soft and smooth

Thanks for talking about skin sensitivity and Vitamin C. For myself, I don’t know when they started putting serious actives in makeup without it named on the label, but it was within the past few years. They just label the makeup “glowy” or “radiant” and don’t say how this is achieved, but it usually things like Vit C, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinimide. I don’t think the products I chose to put on my skin caused my problem, I use the same anti-acne actives, never every day, and I don’t layer actives. Except when the actives are put in makeup and I don’t know it’s in there. I think un-labeled makeup has been my problem. Speaking of anti-acne actives, finally found a shampoo for my oily scalp, Ouai Anti-Dandruff. It’s a salicylic acid shampoo, cleared up my scalp and I now have volume I never had. But it does dry the hair so only once a week with that. Anyway, I really appreciate you and Hailey knowing what your sensitivities are with your skin, I am relying more than ever these days on influencers who are honest and self-aware for information on what actives could be causing issues.

@@amandak.4246all too often it’s a “proprietary” ingredient, formula, or broth that they add which is not even spelled out what’s in it! Or the ingredient might be fine if I hadn’t done a retinol the night before. Or I just didn’t think that a setting powder would have actives in it, so I didn’t read the powder ingredients.

Thanks! Not that I know of haha! The only thing I can think of is that I rehydrated my brow pomade so it was a bit more wet and pigmented than usual. Maybe they’re a bit darker than normal?

Don’t buy the good molecules cleansing balm it’s so bad it feels like vasoline on the face when you try to emulsify it and u have to use a cloth to get it off
