As a French person, it always blow my mind how *expensive* renting is in the US. To give you an idea, I live in a 40 square meters furnished appartement in the North of France, 30min away from a big city nammed "Lille" and my rent is 300€ / month So when I see young adults of my age (I'm 22) paying 2000$ - 3000$ dollars each month I'm like... Damn, where do y'all find the money ? I litterally could not, even for a month 😅

Same😅like I thought me looking at 800-900€ apartments in Helsinki, Finland, for future knowledge had a high rent (I mean it’s still a lot of money) but spending 2000-3000 $ for something you would get for 800-1000€ in the capital city is absurd

This is not the norm in the US either. Rent is still expensive but since most apartment videos are by influencers who have more money and live in urban areas, their rent is just wayyyy more. I’m 23, most people our age don’t pay that much for rent!!!

I saw a comment saying its not the norm for the average person in the US and thats just wrong LMAO depending on which state you live it is normal to pay that much. Especially if California and New York. Currently living in the most expensive city in the US i was born and raised in and if you want a normal nice apartment its like 2K and above 🤧🤧🤧 maybe if they lived in Some flyover state like kansas itd be cheap

Psst, you actually save money if you use the dishwasher over washing dishes by hand, especially if you really pack the dishwasher, only issue is making sure everything is dishwasher safe. I used to think washing by hand saved water too, then I started using the dishwasher and I oop Best way to save water is to maximize laundry day and avoid taking long showers and baths. :)
