Although I appreciate the heart behind this song, it's important to remember we are already righteous. The Word says that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The only way to be emptied of every selfish thing is to literally and physically die. It is the old mindset that needs to be renewed (Romans 12:1,2) to who we are in Christ that keeps telling us that we need to be emptied. We have already been cleansed and made righteous. (2 Cor 5:21). Please listen to Andrew Wommack Ministries, The True Nature of God.
