One nice guy, so humble, as he was a blues legend. I was lucky to talk with him and feel his music

He plays very well very clearly unimpressed by the crowd. He was used to playing in small clubs it feels. He plays in D minor pentatonic. It reminds me of gary moore in sound. This guy was unfairly underestimated.

@ 3kingsofblues Great video! You should put "Empty Promises" in the title so people who are looking for this song will find it. It's one of the more emotionally played versions. And damn that tone!
@3kingsofblues6 жыл бұрын
jtesorojr Done! I remember seeing his van pull up at the festival, with Arkansas or Missouri plates I think. I said man if they came all the way to the east coast they must be the real deal. We were blown away. A shame that he passed away shortly after that.
@InfiniteRiffs6 жыл бұрын
@@3kingsofblues That's great. Thanks for doing that! And yes they are the real deal. Many great moments in this video, my favorite being when he walks back on stage and sings "Empty Promises". So much emotion...so sad he's gone
@InfiniteRiffs5 жыл бұрын
9 months later I'm back here....after a few tears I have to say this is so good. Another favorite is the sequence of notes at 4:54 when he's walking back to the stage. The little pattern he plays is so tasty...and makes you believe he's expressing those empty promises he's felt. That's some pain there....
