I only have one word to say, wildcat. That was one of the many dumb plays Brian Daballs called. Also the 2pt conversion play he called a couple weeks ago. Of course Tracy fumbled the ball, the play was so stupid he barely could wrap his head around what was going on. Can't blame the QB in this game. I've been watching the NFL since 83 man has a lot changed since then. The players are all about fame and the money instead of being passionate about the game. The coaches are soft as tissue paper nowadays. And tbh the quality of play in the NFL has declined every year. How many real good teams are there this year? Probably like 4? The rest of the league is mediocre at best. I love football, but to me, it's getting to become more of a cash grab and a soap opera than a sport. Just my opinion, of course.

It's very simple: a top two pick is the reason to pull the plug. With that pick you'll attract premium GM talent, be able to hire the best available head coach and draft what will hopefully be a franchise QB for the next decade. You obviously clear the deck for that, but not until the end of the season unless there's an injury claus. No point now. Any change will just risk driving you down the draft board. But they already told us what's coming when they cut DJ. That happened because he is in the way of the next QB. Schoen and Daboll are just as much in the way, but the timeline is different. No injury clauses to worry about either. Keeping both on now secures the draft pick you want for the GM search. So you keep them on.

Nabors is starting to sound like a player who is more trouble than he's worth. Sure, he looks like a talented receiver, but talented receivers are just about the easiest thing to find in the draft and in free agency. There's no real reason to keep a prima donna receiver, except maybe because he's playing for cheap on a rookie contract. But given that the Giants need to rebuild, depending upon how the next draft goes, they might want to consider dumping Nabors for draft capital. That is to say, if the Giants draft a qb who looks like Danny Jones Part II then having one good young receiver won't make much difference, and would be a downright detriment if his has a shitty attitude.

This franchise has regressed every single season (minus 2022 but that year was a complete fluke). Doesn’t matter who the GM is, who the coaches are, what superstar WR we draft that’s supposed to be a once in a generation talent (OBJ, Nabers). We can’t draft, we gave away McKinney, Love, Saquan and got nothing in return. We draft the right players at the wrong time and the wrong players at the right time. We’re undisciplined, indecisive, we lack leadership, a veteran presence, we overpay the wrong guys and underpay the right ones. We can’t score touchdowns and haven’t been able to since Eli was behind center. Nobody on this roster has balls or a clutch gene in their bodies. We need a new GM, a new coaching staff, a rebranding to somehow convince the fans that there’s light at the end of the tunnel (is there any?). Nobody would take this job. We are worse than the Jets. A complete laughingstock of a franchise, a doormat of a team and an embarrassment to the NY/NJ area.

Before yesterday I was in favor of keeping both Schoen and Daboll because I want to finally commit to a long-term rebuild without constant turnover and judge them based on how they select and develop a QB of their choice. After yesterday I don't see how Daboll can stay. The team has clearly completely quit on him and I don't know how you fix that. Losing is one thing. Being non-competitive and showing the lack of effort that's on that game tape is something else. I'm wary that a new coach and GM who come in will only suffer the same fate if Chris Mara, Tim McConnell, Kevin Abrams, and the rest of the nepotism/lifer hires stay in the personnel department. If we're going to make a change we need a full, clean slate and for John Mara to go 100% hands off the way his father did when they hired George Young. I'm now for the idea of hiring Bill Belicheck to be head coach and if he's not also GM at least being in charge of hiring the GM, the scouts, etc, and making the entire organization his vision. It can't get any worse and it's clear massive changes are needed. All of that said if they're going to keep one or the other (Schoen or Daboll) then I think they should keep them both. Leaving or staying I believe it's better if it's done together instead of what happened with the last few regimes.

Tampa Bay is now 3-0 against NFC East Teams. They have beat the top 2 teams in the NFC (Detroit and Philadelphia). Tampa Bay is a good team but has been devastated by injuries. They will make the Playoffs with a few breaks.

I know DANIEL JONES has struggled at the QBs position…. But he works hard and gave everything he had……he’s been disrespected since HARD KNOCKS…he didn’t deserved that……I will be interested to see who the fans will hate next……

When 90% of your postgame interview is spewing "gotta give credit" to the other team it gets old fast. Daboll has lost the locker room and it is becoming obvious with each and every week. Getting beat by a team like Carolina to then go on your bye only to come out totally flat the next week is simply inexcusable. DJ was not good for most of his tenure, but they were hoping his dismissal would be a good enough pound of flesh for the fanbase and it isn't. If they are committed to blowing this thing up dont half-ass it.

I’m a raider fan and I would give Jones a shot because of who we have we have nobody and our luck we will not get one of the top quarterbacks. And there’s very few anyway and they’re not great like the hype of the ones last year. Cause I’m hearing that Sanders can be very arrogant ….what a surprise ….like father like son . One thing that doesn’t get brought up a lot about Jones is that for example last year the Giants gave up the most sacks I believe in his history 62 sacks how is a quarterback supposed to operate when they’re offensive line is so horrendous

Teams need to stop hiring "genius" coordinators who have mercurial talent at QB. Josh Allen is the reason Buffalo are a good team, not this walking cardiac event.

Schoen just doesn't know how to put a team together. If you watch the games, compared to other teams, the Giants clearly are missing physical, explosive players on the offensive/defensive lines that fire off the ball, that push people around. That secondary is a joke, no length or speed, slow linebackers that get run over constantly. Thats all on the GM and their evaluation system if you want to call it that. And if many players quit in-game, that's also on the Coach/GM for getting too many guys that like the pro lifestyle and what comes with that, instead of getting hungry players who want to win. Evaluating character is also part of the Coach & GM's job. The Giants have failed on every level and Schoen/Daboll gotta go. Where's the next Parcells or Coughlin, no nonsense guys that demand excellence or you are out the door?
