From the Depths is still my favorite building game. It doesn't look as polished but allows those daisy chains. It is also the first game I know of to implement customizable tank tracks and chaining elbow joints.

I agree EGS is one of the best building games....with some limitations, like how can you not place a plant/tree decoration in front of a window, because the window will occupy the entire block..??.. that's just unrealistic and a limitation that bothers me a lot... the blocks should overlap with each other as needed, when needed... just compare to the sims building features and you'll understand what I mean... also, when it come to travel, the distances are way, way out of sync, how can a planet or moon be just 10-15 km away from another planet or moon? this makes no sense scientifically... or a POI at the south pole is just 5 km away from a POI at the north pole, that's way unrealistic... but, has great features, the fact we can claim and keep a foreign/alien's NPCs (or player) base is awsome to me, for this reason alone, it becomes one of my favorite games...

great guide... how do you dock a HV with docking pads?? do we need to like literally touch the SV/CV mothership? p.s. I have a feeling that EGS is not really for PvP mate... I'm not experienced enough in EGS, but it's more of a building blocks, structures-bases, and ships, than the PvP aspect of it... I come from a long stint in Eve, and not last Elite Dangerous... those are more fitted for PvP with Eve being geared towards that and it's brutal, to say the least...

Docking pad just has to touch the ship you are trying to dock to. As for the comments on PvP and how it replates to other games. I don't do PvP as it does not interest me. How this game compares to the others you mentioned? Wouldn't know don't play any of them.

Yeah, there's players who play only for the PvP aspect of the game. Sure, the game has many limitations compared to those other games, but they apply to your enemies, too and you should build with those in mind.
