Yeah I like these kind of vids. I remember using some of these bases. And brought back memories 😆. Thanks for the memories mr J.

I still use your Sanctum Installation as my go to base when I can't be bothered building one. Well, I have my own customised version. I have used a few others you show as well. Thanks Jeff.

I like Waypoint Station. Looks like a modular lander, like it was supposed to be the first hub of a new colony.

Jeff, I still to this day use all your bases, I just love how amazingly unique they look and the increased efficiency with every build. Thanks for sharing this with us for so many years. I am convinced without your builds, Empyrion would not have had the success it is enjoying. At least for me, your builds have made this game fun for me. Hats off to you sir!

I had missed your release of the Palisade-IOC, gonna have to give that one a try soon. As to other series, I'm very partial to the Trebuche-HAC and would love to see that updated to handle Reforged Eden shield components. I have to say, I use just about everything you and Ente build so it's alway neat when I see a new creation from one of you. RE 2.0 will change a lot of creation usability and thats gonna hurt for awhile. Take care!

I loved the Waypoint Hangar (except the hangar floor!), and Farm. Someone made a version of them that sort of connect together with a tunnel, Atlas I think, but the changes to the interior made them a bit more confusing for me to navigate. I also liked the Abode a lot, because I like to have the quick access to the water generators in my first base. A base style that I have fallen in love with is the tiny autominer base, where you can put an autominer inside the base for safe access on very dangerous planets. TP in, make sure ammo is good, fill the miner with fuel, put the ore in storage (or a furnace), then TP back to your main base. If I was to build a main planetary base from scratch, I would try to build it modular. I would have a solar powered farm as a different module that could be accessed from a passageway/tunnel from the main base. I would have a solar furnace that could be wifi only, and the same with a solar deconstructor. I would have a large hangar area where I could dock storage CVs inside (the simple cube style) for extra storage (they would look neat hanging from the ceiling. I would have around 6 storage controllers and 2 ammo boxes with dedicated small constructors for ammo. I would also place the storage controllers near ground level and send the storage down deep underground to save space. I would have space for a shield, and I would have little concrete bunkers a small distance from each corner with some sentry guns on/in them. The AI could then spend time shooting at those instead of my main weapons, and not need the extra maintenance of separate PDTs. I would also sink the core several blocks deep into the ground, and probably not directly centered in the base near important components. I wonder if you had an open (exposed ground) space inside a base, if you could place a different base blueprint inside, or perhaps vice versa, build a small base blueprint, then place a much larger base over the top like you can do with autominer bases. Solar capacitors can also burn fuel from fuel tanks and usually completely replace all generators, you just may need more of them. This may have changed but was true less than a year ago. Then you could leave room for generators if needed with a shield or something while still providing immediate power with fuel. Almost anything I could do to stretch that CPU budget a little bit further with that main base so I wouldn't need rare cores that I would want to use for my ships, until it makes things more fiddley like those PDTs. I don't really like too many storage modules because menu fatigue, I'd rather have one storage module with 8 huge storages than two with 4 or 6 each. I enjoyed the trip through time. You have done that with HVs and some SVs already. I feel like you did some of it with space bases when you were trying to build that big circle base with interior docking, but my memory is a bit shakey. Thanks Jeff!

Nice recap of all the great work :) Been using the MCRN Point Defense and the Cargo System just now in vanilla 1.9. Works like a charm ... Yeah the Point def WRECKS drones... and both are absolutely gorgeous of course :D I like to to use the 'external bunker' core design myself. Works great for throwing of the drones 'targeting systems' 😄

I tend to use the Waypoint Compound and the Waypoint Farm. I add solar panels around the roof of both to keep the landing pads useful. Its pretty easy to max out the solar panels if you lay it out correctly. I also stuff in more capacitors to maximize power storage for night time operation without using fuel. My dream is to take the Foundation XL and fit the Waypoint Compound and the Waypoint farm underneath it. I just haven't taken the time to try to do it myself. Looking at the space under the Foundation XL you should be able to fit both and expand on them for more farm plots and more hanger space. Plus room on top to park my CV and some other ships. Maybe your next project Jeff... HINT HINT....

Jeff, I have run several servers for my group for a couple years on this game. I have used Sanctuary, but have used Sanctum more then any other base. However, I have made several changes to it for my liking. It gave me inspiration to build the vanilla version of the Patriot Alliance Op Base I just placed on the workshop. I'm currently building a RE version of that base. If anything, Sanctum would be well worth the update. It is a good starting base.

Sanctum has great bones, there is a refit available on the workshop.

The common theme for blown out CPU seems to be turrets, the answer is separate defense towers or be wealthy enough for extenders. There is a simplified solar powered refit of your Sanctum Installation with less fluff on the workshop. It has a basic extender, two 320k storage and is compatible with RE and vanilla.

J, please release the mini Xcal base. I think it would be perfect for a small drop base when on starter planet.
