How is that going now for you? Idle=2 is good it means 2 Playfield servers are running, but no players are connected to it. The idle number shows how many Playfield servers are in this state. To find if your server is in the list when you enter the game Empyrion Galactic Survival click on the "Multiplayer" menu and the "Internet" tab to refresh the list of public server. There is a "Filter" box on the screen you can enter a partial name of what your server name is to try find it, it might take a moment to refresh the list. If you don't see your server on the list check that you have forwarded the right ports as well if you are hosting from your own router. You can check the settings with Notepad++ in the Dedicated.yaml file or which ever config it uses for the config of the server. I would not use normal notepad cause any spaces in the config file could stop the server from starting. in the ServerConfig: Srv_Port: 30000 // As an example only if your server was using this port and your server is running you can check if it's open by going to www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and for the remote IP address make sure it's the correct one that your server uses for people to join online and enter the port number and click on the check button. Srv_Name: Name of your server // This is were you set the name of your server as an example inside the config file. If you use the correct IP and PORT number that the server is using for waiting on connections for players to join and if it's working it should say OPEN in the port status. If it says closed then there is a problem and players won't be able to connect. You can also enter the IP and Port manually inside the game to try and join it if you don't see it on the list.

what if u want to continue a multyplayer saved game that lets say on a scenario of reforged eden do u just put in the scenario as reforged eden and the game name as the map name of that saved game ?

I did everything correctly but my server is not showing on empyrion server list. I dont know what to do guys, please help.

Only can think it might be a port forwarding or firewall issue? And make sure in the config file that you have set to True "Srv_Public: true".

also at least for me even tho i have reforged eden dowloaded it doesnt show in the scenarios in the normal steam empyrion folder

.\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\383120\2550354956 It will download it usually into a folder with a number in it you would have to find which one as the number might be different on yours. There is also a file named description.txt that tells you what version Reforged Eden is. Then you can also copy the entire folder to the Dedicated Server location .\Content\Scenarios etc. So for me it was here and renamed as follows, "F:\Servers\empyrionDedicatedserver\Content\Scenarios\Reforged_Eden". Then I rename the folder to something like Reforged_Eden which is also the name of the Scenario in the Server Config. Then inside the server config file for example mine's called dedicated.yaml, it can change depending on what you use then look for a line, CustomScenario: Reforged_Eden # Enable custom scenario. Name of custom scenario from folder Content\Scenarios I would use something like Notepad++ to be safe. CustomScenario: Reforged_Eden That's the name of the Scenario folder you renamed Reforged Eden too. Inside the Reforged Eden folder I believe you can also set the gameoptions.yaml file up. If you want to try and copy a saved game then, In the Server Config dedicated.yaml or such there is a line that says, GameName: Public1 This is the folder name for your saved game data it will use. So if it was "Public1" then copy that saved game you want to try and load to: "\Saves\Games\Public1". If you have a backup of the cache folder that would probably be safer too to copy that. "\Saves\Cache\Public1". Then when starting the server up it should load Reforged Eden Scenario plus your Saved data from before. Then cross your fingers that it loads without problems.

You don't have to use SteamCMD, I believe you can also use Steam and it installs the C++ Redistributes for you. You can also use a copy from one server to the other the Dedicated Server files. I don't usually install the Steam client on a Dedi and you can download the files without signing in with SteamCMD, but would rather have just the files to run the server, which SteamCMD will download them for you for most games using the Anonymous login.

So you won't have to install the steam GUI (client) and run it on a headless / dedicated machine.

That's right, if you prefer to do it with SteamCMD without logging into your Steam account then you can just download the Dedicated Server files by SteamCMD and set it up that way instead if you prefer. If you use the GUI on Steam instead the Empyrion Galactic Dedicated Server GUI, I believe Steam will install the C++ Redistributables automatically that way.
