Titanic - The Portrait - Piano Cover

As final exams have come to an end, I have been able to relax and do what I really like to do. Finally I have been able to make this song. This song is the song that made me want to learn how to play the piano more than ten years ago when I believe I was eight years old. It sparked the passion in me that I have for film soundtracks. I remember that my best friend and I would watch Titanic every weekend for quite a time. For some reason we loved it. It was an adventure. As other kids would play "house" and "school", we'd play Titanic, and act like we were on the ship ourselves, and create our own characters and stories. We would use my tall back deck as the main part of the ship. We were interested in the factual history of the disaster, but also how the film was made itself. It inspired me then, and it still inspires me, quite powerfully to this day as I listen to my playlist of favorite films scores almost every day in the car, and when I feel like it. I'm sure it annoys my parents and friends... Composer James Horner is a godsend, may he rest in peace. I love this music so much because it really immerses you into the story of Titanic and helps you form an emotional bond with the characters going into ultimate peril. I cannot reminisce enough on how much I hold this dear to me. So I will now let you listen for yourself, and perhaps be moved by this beautiful music. Please enjoy.

I used to listen to this on my mom's Samsung keypad phone. I don't know how it got there but it was there. I used to get bullied in school and all the teachers used to treat me very bad, that time I thought if suicide and how easy it would be to just end it. I used to listen to this everyday and my suicidal thoughts would go away. I used to calm down and live one more day. As a child this was the only thing that was keeping me alive. Then one day my mom thought that I was always on the phone so she deleted it. Since that day I was trying to find this cover and I finally found the piano Sunday cover. This is also greatly done.

The film version wasn’t meant to be in the movie. Cameron heard horners song he sent over called “sketch” and assumed he meant this was the song for this scene. When In reality it was just a sketch for a song he wanted Cameron to hear. But Cameron liked it so he left it in.

Hi Megan, I do not currently have a video of me playing the song. However, I can tell you that I learned how to play this song by listening to many of the tutorials that are available on KZbin. I have been playing renditions of this song for over ten years, and finally committed myself to learn the whole thing. The beginning of the song I resulted to the movie to learn how to play it, (playing by ear and how I think it sounds).
