With the Australia one, two things: 1. It also is used in New Zealand. 2. With the controversy of mature games being too mature for kids, you NEED the rating to pop out otherwise those Karens wouldn't likely notice the rating. So functionality wise, it's probably one of the better ones, but aesthetically, it's one of the worst outside of box arts that incorporate the rating into the design, in which case, the rating would lose functionality points but gain visual points.

With Australia, few things. 1. Literally they need to pop out otherwise some people wont see them properly. 2. X18+ is only used for movies that have way too inappropiate stuff. Yeah, he complains about how they pop out, but that's just so you can easily see the rating. Imagine someone's grandmother buying them an 18+ game (esrb) because you can't tell the difference due to them being small and colourless. Imo PEGI is the best one. Simple design so you only need to look at number, colors that match the age (its important to have 18+ pop off so no accidents happen) the sizing is great, age groups are exactly how they should be and without any confusion. i feel like they couldn't have done a better job.
