2023 now and the Expert trim msrp is $11 K. They had it on sale for $8250 so I thought that sounded more reasonable as I wasn't about to drop $11 K. They didn't have my size in the Expert so I tested the S-Works and fell in love with the upgrades and lighter weight. Kind of feels like a different bike than the lower trim levels.Wasn't going to drop $11K now willing to pay $14200 on sale. I must be crazy but I'm old enough to get the best before my time is up.

The thing is, why do you have to care for it like this? A motocross bike costing the same amount wouldn’t need all that care and, btw, before someone else says it, the weight penalty of keeping things working in the wet is very little different in said motocross bike. Oh, I know they sell more of the motocross bikes, but that accounts for all the other stuff on the bike. It absolutely does not account for it being perfectly fine being ridden at 30mph through deep mud-filled ruts... You just don’t have to blow-dry a motocross bike, although I will admit Berkshire Bike’s advice in Rob’s vid in 2019 is excellent. Sadly it didn’t protect my 2020 Levo, but that’s another story. Yes, let’s see how the blow-dried Gen 3’s with their Brose 2.2’s fare....

Specialized have done a great job on this bike. I’m pleased they haven’t tried to lighten it. Keep full fat ebikes full fat! Keeping the divergence between this and the SL/lighter half power bikes Is the right way to go. The new motor casing and improved waterproofing around the power lead is very well designed. Personally I’ll be keeping my GEN 2 bike for a few more years yet, it’s still a fantastic bike. I’ve already fitted the 700 w/h battery and a wireless dropper and I’ve got the new GX AXS wireless shifter and controller coming this week. Might swap out the rear for a 27.5” but I like the all round ability of 29/29 and it suits the kind of riding I do. I’ll definitely be fitting the mastermind TCU when Specialized make them available. The one change I thought Specialized might do is to offer a plug in range extender like the SL. A 300 w/h bottle battery extender would’ve given the option of 1 kw/h for all day epic rides. Great company with world class customer care.👍 Great content Rob. Very professional. 👍

Allow me to be a tad critical Rob, as well intended feedback from some of your subs or perhaps just me. I appreciate the financial imperative of making paid content, but in the past you had been rightly critical, this and the previous video are just plain adverts. Yes, I don’t have to watch, but..... There is an obvious policy decision at Specialized - they can sell their bikes at ludicrous prices! Pricing out some on financial grounds and others on principle of buying ridiculously priced products. The so-called changes in the new Levo are anything but earth shattering for 99.9% of ebikers. The adverts are aimed at causing a (non existent) storm. Any of us can fit a 27.5 rear wheel, the rest is gimmickery for the likes of me. One degree head angle change made the bike more stable? Really? At that speed and on that track....I wonder. Importantly, what is point of changing head angle for climbing in an ebike? The whole concept is nuts for assisted pedalling. The shock is not a Specialized product, pointless to discuss its merits or otherwise in such depth. Just some random thoughts.

The bike is an evolution of an already excellent bike and the changes are important and welcome. The new TCU is very nice. I don’t quite understand the point you’re trying to make here. Why change the bike behind all recognition if the original was so good?

Well said. Another ‘paid promotion’. This time I am only hear for comments. I am certainly not gonna watch a 28 minute commercial.

Noone mentioned ugly painting... 2019,2020,2021 and basically all 2015+ Spec bikes looks way nicer. Imho it looks like pre-2014 Epic. Ofc it's just a paiting but who does not bother how his 10k bike looks like?

Not a big fan of the long low slack movement. More specifically not the low part. Unless you’re going down slopes with straight lines and not much technical obstacles, they turn like shit and pedal strikes along with bottom bracket strikes are too often and costly at times.
