Papua New Guinea Opposition MPs Walk Out in Protest

A near confrontation on the floor of parliament this morning (June 1), with the Papua New Guinea Opposition walking out in Protest over the referral of Madang MP Bryan Kramer, to the Parliamentary Privileges Committee.
Mr Kramer's referral follows an article he published on Facebook regarding the purported decision to ban Facebook.
According to the Opposition, the referral is a demonstration of the Government encroaching on citizens’ constitutional right to Freedom Of Expression.

Facebook is a communication platform outside of the floor of Parliament. What's so difficult about refuting Hon Kramer's statement using the same medium, FB? Or why not make use of the cybercrime act to deal with such issues, outside of Parliament? So sad seeing our leaders bringing petty issues to the parliament's floor, and getting the speaker all confused and mixed-up in his conscience as well. This news is world news. For the opposition to walk out of the Parliament during the sitting clearly demonstrates the highest office is in a total mess. The Prime minister cannot pretend any more that the primary purpose of the Parliament is serving its purpose if every time the opposition is brushed off. The speaker to use his position in making a ruling other then a simple instructions/warning once again clearly shows the lack of maturity of the speaker to a low literacy in Parliamentary proceedings, if not a shame on all of those concerned.
