Why is the horn blown so many times?

This is a non-stop train undergoing trial testing. The horn is blown to make sure people don't mistake it for a regular train and expect it to stop at stations. Plus the presence of numerous railway crossings make it obligatory to blow horns.

SOUMIK DAS A MEMU is also a type of EMU. In terms of technicality, all MEMUs are EMU. So technically it's an EMU

No there is still a technically difference between EMU and MEMU, The traction motors used in MEMU trains are a little bit more powerful compared to the EMU keeping in mind the long distance and also more passengers.
