Emulating the iPod Touch 2G

The iPod Touch 2G was the second iPod Touch ever released. It was also the first to have support for third party apps (through the app store), and it was released in 2008. 15 years later it can now be emulated!

There was a project that added iPhone 11 support to QEMU, they got as far as the Apple logo. It’s called QEMU-t8030, not sure what happened to it.

@@laglife the qemu-t8030 developer did get the emulator running and showing springboard (user interface). After that the github repo was archived

@brate8981 They got it working on an emulated iPhone 6S. The changes weren’t ever pushed to the repo before it got archived, and neither were the iPhone 11 emulation changes to get display out of iBoot.

Can you sideload apps to the emulator?

Technically you can, but it requires recreating the entire NAND image, which is a massive pain if you're not on a Mac When the emulator is stabilized and much more developed I'll remake this video on Windows and show how to sideload apps and other things

It seems you misspelled “nand” as “nana”, try fixing that
