With a little understanding, you can still use this video for newer versions of Windows and yuzu. I was confused for some of it, but I figured it out. For newer people when you're looking for the files with .exe, you'll see the file type as exe after you click properties. I'm only saying this because the maintenance tool program file and yuzu on my pc don't say exe like in the video.

I might come back to yuzu in a year. I'm still getting dips in Odyssey despite using every tip i can find and with full shader cache. 9900k/2070. Emulation for older systems was fun but these newer systems are a pain in to config and even then run like ass. Thanks for video though.

Hm, maybe you could try the early access version of yuzu. Especially Mario Odyssey is running a bit faster on it. No worries, you don't need to buy it, there are several tutorials on how to get it for free. But if you want to support the developers, then buy it.

turns out, drivers are everything. using an asus tuf with ryzen 5 3550h and nvidia 1650 graphics. i used the latest nvidia driver, performance was garbage, complete and utter. installed the driver on the laptop's driver page instead (slightly older), but its performance was near rock solid. a stutter once in a blue moon, but completely acceptable. was playing chocobo gp, and even on split screen with all NPCs (at first it did lag) but then it went full speed retrying it. with no NPCs, it never stutters, period. i used opengl and the nvidia setting for that game though as vulkan wasn't as fast. i guess some games just want it more. in any case, check your drivers folks. mess around with them, try other versions. hope that helps yall out too.

It's building shaders that's why. The more you play, the less stuttering and frame dips

Hmm, I wish I could say this made a difference, but if there is one, I can't notice it at all. Yuzu is telling me I'm getting between 50 and 60 fps, but Mario Odyssey is still stuttery enough that it feels more like 20 fps at most.

It says I don't have an Nvidia graphics card. I have Radeon AMD Ryzen 5, 16 gb ram. Still running slow and I bought the most powerful computer. Edit: I have Vulkan. I switched on a bunch of Vulkan settings and it runs faster, but not flawless. Maybe it's building a cache or compiling shaders or something. I've been running Yuzu with no issues, I'm using a 6 core, an 6 thread Ryzen 5 3500 with a 1650 Super an only 8GB of memory, Performance has been pretty good for me, i did notice Yuzu uses alot of memory, it's been maxing out my 8GB so I'm gonna put in a 16GB and bump it to 24GB, been playing all the most demanding titles by Nintendo for Switch an so far it's been pretty great for me, Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Ace Tennis are maxing out my 8GB memory so that's the only issue, now RPCS3 maxes out my CPU, uses half my memory and uses around 20% of my GPU, Citra 3DS emulator is pretty demanding too, but i do prefer Yuzu emulator over Cemu

Well i have to say this settings work and i have a laptop with i5 7th gen and 8 gigs of ram i dont know how much cores it has but after applying this setting am able to play Pokemon sword on yuzu with no crashes thus far(been playing for 5 minutes continuous 😅) i said so because before doing this it was absolutely disastrous i couldnot even play for 5 minutes straight without a crash
