Could the car at least fit one or two battery modules under the bonnet? Not just to fill up some useful space but to better the weight distribution. It may seem misplaced to have the weight balance of a rear engined front wheel drive, that'll bring some traction issues.

Seems nice.. i would love to have a 2cv EV.. not shure if i would convert my own.. the noise of the petrol engine , is a lil bit of his soul..

I check the website, it says 100km/h, with the original engine this car does 120km/h which is needed in modern traffic. With this conversion, based on top speed and battery capacity, it looks only suitable for city use.

this car can go faster with an electric motor but is not for high speeds as it has no modern and safe body for crashes.

Going faster than, or use much more torque than the fuel engine is not recommended. You will blow your (expensive) gearbox and axes. Can you live with the range? Buy. If not, don't. Or buy more range :).
