I'm officially 50 (as of this week). I grew up watching the original Sparkle movie, with Lonnette McKee. It was my FAVORITE movie, as a teenager. Growing up in the 90s, OF COURSE, I loved En Vogue! @@jenniferslowley4319 I am a huge fan of Aretha and have been since the 1960s. Don't get me wrong. This particular song was not one of Aretha's best songs performed by her IMO. I have heard Aretha do so much better on so many other songs. En Vogue knocked this song out of the park for me. And of course, kudos to Curtis Mayfield with his superb song writing.
