The Greatest girl group of the 90s in my opinion. Their harmony, class, and style that was all their own. They were like a 90s Supremes. Their voices were all distinct and they blended so well together. The women of En Vogue were classy, articulate, and beautiful. They didn't try to out-sing each other and they all complimented each other. DAWN, MAXINE, TERRY & CINDY.

It gets old bra when you realize life is progressive and that there are more glorious things of which we've never scratched the surface in music that will suddenly obliterate our so called 90's music whether hip pop, blues or whatever they are called. I am only saying this because I was in the spirit taken there very briefly and the songs sang to the praise of God in heaven makes every song sang on earth seem non-existence and so filthy except hymns and praises sang with a pure heart and led by the Spirit of God according to the tune/instruments used in heaven to praise God (Ephesians 5:19, Psalm 150:3-6). So trust me, these songs are not just old with this old world as the scripture terms it but passing by along with everything in this old world. This one of the reason I believe God said He will make a new heaven and a new heaven where lives and things will remain new and never old forever (Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:1). "And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these (referring to people) should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out (in worship and praise to God because He is marvelous and exceeding glorious to know (John 17:3).

Usually one member would get the lead vocals and another member would sing the bridge- so each song is basically sung by 2 members! Here are each members biggest hits: Maxine- Never Gonna Get It / Dawn- Giving him Something He can feel & Don’t let go/ Cindy- Hold On / Terry- Don’t Go (which is my jam!!) and the acapella part of Hold On

I mean, that's obvious. Then again, we can never really know since Diana was the only one really singing lead. We never got to hear Mary, Florence or Cindy's voices. @psykloneja4 жыл бұрын
@J B Normally you'd be right, nostalgia is a hell of a thing. It has us viewing the past through rose tinted glasses... But when it comes to music you're wrong. Today you have to search for soulful passionate music of this quality. You have to look for independent artistes and obscure albums from greats who aren't trending now with limited success. Or enjoy the smattering of great music that become hit songs nowadays... Back then it was what was on the radio day in day out. We were spoiled and didn't even know it.
@sigerlion86084 жыл бұрын
@J B Nostalgia effect is real but the 90s were better was a fact. Sure there was less "stuff to buy" and people had a little less money, but we didn't have to deal with the terrorist level shit of 2000s for a decade. Oh it's orange today, now it's red, today it's marmalade! "Look at them suicide bombing! We gotta fight back!" - GW Bush Jr. Jobs were much easier to find in the 90s thanks to Clinton. You can literally be dramatic like the TV shows and shout at your boss "I QUIT MOTHERFUCKER!" and find a job within a week. There were no cell phones in the 90s so people actually connected face to face a lot more. Internet was slow as hell so people were not stuck in front of a computer all day. Kids played outside more. Music preference is subjective, styles are obviously different now and it's not for everyone. There are a lot of auto tuners today so that even people who can't sing and doesn't have a good voice are mainstream artists. Robotic voices makes them sound like they have no soul. People aren't saying there aren't any good singers now but the quantity is seriously lacking compared to a few decades ago. Seriously you just sound like a kid. Stop being so full of yourself.
