I am so glad to hear Dawn finally speak out and defend herself after years of people saying she broke this group up. I remember back in 2013 when Maxine said Terry ruined En Vogue by sleeping with Denzil Foster and Cindy ruined the group by never speaking up and always defending Terry. These managers and record companies were screwing these artists out of big money back in the 90's. These women in the industry need to stop sleeping with the producers and managers, Chilli was sleeping with Dallas Austin and supposedly LA Reid and TLC got screwed out of money by his wife Pebbles. Now we find out Terry was sleeping with one of the men that founded the group and produced their music and he screwed them out of money. Denzil Foster used Terry because he knew if he told her what she wanted to hear he could get her to do anything he wanted, and that's how they were able to screw them out of millions of dollars because he got Terry to do whatever he said. She is the reason why they lost out on two record deals and why they got dropped by the record company after the EV3 album was released, because the record companies didn't want En Vogue without Dawn Robinson they considered her the face and voice of that group. A complete travesty what happened to probably the Best Female Group ever.

CHILLI and LA Reid was false. Someone that that used to work for laface records and found out pebbles was jealous of chilli so she came up with a lie and said she was sleeping with LA Reid. That person also said that there were checks signed in pebbles name without the girls even knowing it. Also it was stated that TLC was signed to deals that they never signed off on. The signing was going through pebbles. Meaning that she was foraging these Ladies signatures on forms. These women was given upfront money but pebbles took the money and never told them that money was involved in signing a deasl. I believe TLC had two commercial deals at that time that that pebbles kept from them. There were a few other deals. There were also deals that they did sign but never fell through because of Perri and her team. Before we talk about sleeping with the producer and manager let's talk about how pebbles allegedly got a son by R&B singer El DeBarge. I am Facebook friends with this young man and have been friends with him since 2013 after the TLC movie came out that's when he spoke out. He was working on a tell all book. Almost 2 years later he announced on Facebook that the book was finished and he's looking for the right publishing and book company to publish the book but he never spoke more about that situation. Also from that close source when Perri son was born it was told that LA Reid wanted to give this boy to t-boz to take care of but T-Boz was too busy. Perri allegedly didn't want her own son. The Son went to live with the DeBarge family It's a lot that t-boz and chili kept out of the TLC movie they kept it clean they have stories that will put some of your artist to shame because of what they did to these ladies and how they treated them even some of your management and producers and songwriting teams

What are you supposed to do here: write your own songs, own your own publishing, produce yourself, pay for your own studio sessions, pay for your own wardrobe for shows, transportation to venues and book your own shows, events, etc. When someone else is doing that for you it’s hard to keep track. Read the contract before you sign. Singers are a dime a dozen. The recording company has to pay for all of that I listed and it comes out of the profits from record sales, shows and events. Unless singers are going to all of that themselves. The record company, manager, accountants and venues get paid first. This should be no surprise. Michael Jackson started making his most money when he started writing and owning his own as well as other artists publishing. Artists need to know the business and not rely on others to make decisions or sign checks.

@@HalftimeChat - It was the other way around. Prince wanted a bigger share from his albums, but it's always been artists recoup their money by being on the road. Prince's problem was his creativity and his refusal to adjust to how the system worked was his biggest enemy. You create the album, the record company get's their share of the revenue, anything billable you created they collect, you as an artist hit the road and retain what's left after those expenses are cleared. You repeat the cycle until you can't repeat any longer. Prince had hired the best accountant managers in Minneapolis to assist him, but he kept firing them because they were not afraid to tell him he could not finance his vision, which resulted in him hiring Yes People, who at the end did him no good.

And just for the fact you are defending this type of behavior shows something about you. A good record label will look after their artist and show them why such fee's come out and by giving them the understanding and a fair price for their trust will go a long way. Up until February 2000, when Kelly Rowland turned 19, there were still no ventures which would allow her to become a millionaire and not her band members. She wasn't a solo artist nor featured, until well after that lineup changed. Her comment about being a millionaire by the age of 18 and Beyonce getting a Jaguar before her 17th birthday, says more a lot about the hidden truth. Studying the Knowles purchase records from 1997-2000 in Harris County, I figured out the truth. Music World Entertainment headed by Mathew was the main culprit. Kelly was not working with other artists in 1999 or 2000, to be that rich. Royalties from publishing and touring on that second album in 1999, is what was her main income. What she earned, should've been equally distributed. It wasn't and the former members filed suit. They were not getting due royalty payments nor a fair share of touring profits. MWE was also compensating members unequally.

typical saggi having the courage to voice the bullshit in the room and getting crucified after the fact. decades later (when everyone wakes tf up) say, 'omg you were so right!!!'...umm but its too late. It's all over.

Here is the real problem, when you have producers that are the writers and production company they will make all the money from the producers view point we can get anybody to sing these songs, so why should we pay you anything. As an artist if you don’t write and produce your music your at the mercy of the producers. And black labels and producers don’t pay their Artist.

2 cents. They don't do this to the pop, country and rock acts. They sell less but make more money
