In my opinion, I think "Blackface" was a nudge ahead after the success of the 1st album. It seemed more complete. My favourite song was "during the storm", a true quiet storm. Shame the same story plays out over again, as regards getting enough credit for their effort. Great interview! 😎

It's good to see Joe performing his songs. This is what having a legacy of hit music allows you to do. Our R&B artist who came along in the 80's and 90's still got it.

Troop was better than NE. Definitely better dancers. The singing is close, but only because NE learned to use all of their pieces.

Rhythm Nation tour was 1989-90. Black Men United "U Will Know" on the Jason's Lyric soundtrack was 1993.

Fans want the group not solo projects of members. Yes, it worked for a few such as Beyoncé, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, George Michael, because they are very charismatic, but not everyone is blessed with that. When will people understand?

That's crazy that one of the biggest hits in '90s r&B (in my opinion, one of the best r&B songs of the decade) was an afterthought... 🤔.
