Thello has very old and dirty trains in their fleet so be careful when you consider thello for any sleeper trip. I would not recommend Thello to my worst enemy.

Sadly it is just about all that is left of night trains with sleeping accommodation in France.

I confirm Smilling Skull. I have traveled twice. Payed a lot for a dilapidated train from the 80s. Very bad on-board catering also. Now I take the TGV Paris-Milan, long journey, but much better than that Thello.

@@leandert7421 Couchettes and sleeping cars have been refurbished and I find Thello's couchettes more comfortable than the OBB's one. Price for a couchette is correct even if you pay the full price because you will save an hotel bill and you can take lots of luggage. Furthermore, you travel from city centre to city centre.
