How about this for some Arc history, Enable becomes the first horse in more than a hundred years to win the Arc having had only one other race during the rest of the season. A true testament to how talented she really is. A great run by Sea Of Class in 2nd as well, who certainly was by no means disgraced in defeat.

paul johnson hope you’re joking, hold up horses have to be put out at the back and drawn so wide what else can the guy do? Horse missed the break and he managed to weave through a wall of horses to lose by a nose/short head. Unlucky but what can you do when you’re handed a shocking draw against a horse with a plum draw

ThePyThola it didn’t look like the pace was very hot through the first 1000m. One of the issues with having a horse that prefers being ridden so quietly. Having to sit and suffer like that on a good horse takes nerves of steel. One of the reasons that Winx’s record is so special is because in 28 races straight she’s managed to overcome any such issues and still win. Get these two together in Medan please!

B Gardiner have you seen the layout of Longchamp? I’d rather see a hold up horse ridden as it should be, at the back, than be caught 4 wide with no cover for 1/3 of the race turning right doing an extra 30+ yards of running. I wasn’t commenting for any other reason than to explain that if people back at a horse and call the jockey out for a poor ride when he’s ridden the horse exactly how it needs then they clearly don’t understand racing/didn’t research the horses

le terrain le long de la lisse est épouvantable. Enable accèlère en pleine piste puis semble calé au moment ou elle se colle à la lisse. C plutôt que le terrain le long de la lisse est excécrable. Que ce soit Clincher , Nelson, Tibérian ou Way to Paris, ils ont tous perdu des rangs à l'intérieur. Si on regarde les Groupe I du jour, Marcel Boussac, la Forêt, la course Anglo Arabes meme l'opéra les gagnants viennent tous de l'extérieur.

This race perfectly illustrates that positioning in a race is absolutely vital and key to the outcome and of course the draw which was and generally is of crucial importance at ParisLongchamp , reverse the draws with the first and second and there can be no doubt that Sea Of Class would have won and won easily despite the ground being on the soft side of good , both are absolutely tip top fillies what i'd love is these two against Winx over 10 furlongs wouldn't that be an amazing race?

Enable wasn't cherry ripe today but still won the biggest turf race in the world against the best horses in the world. Winxs connections would have scratched in the same circumstances. She's wrapped in cotton wool.

I know the horse was not 100% going into the race that was well known by everyone , I backed her so i'm glad she won but Sea of Class was the better on the day as for Winx , these two probably will not be around at 7 nevermind winning group one's , Aussie ones :P even so we have a fair measure of her ability through Highland Reel and he was a proper if not spectacular Group One performer on an international level and without being crude Winx absolutely hammered him in the Cox Plate easing up THAT was super impressive and tells us she is pretty good maybe they will keep her in training as an 8yo and bring her to Royal Ascot in 2019 THAT would be something

Allan Campbell Best horses from that part of the world. Hahahahahahahahahahaha. The only good NH horse she has ever faced is Highland Reel, he's certainly not one of the best horses from that part of the world. He was good but a long long way from anywhere near the best.

look it's easy to criticise sat at home on the sofa watching & to be fair to doyle he only just failed to pull it off, but you can't give an horse of enable's class that much ground turning for home & on another day he might have got no run at all with the route he took so he was quite fortunate in that respect, I think the key moment was about roughly 1f out when doyle had to switch round another horse which halted the horse's momentum, but for that he (doyle) may have won by half a length, just wasn't to be unfortunately, fair play to enable she made the most of her draw advantage, but the gods were looking down on you today Mr dettori

There is an old saying in racing "you can give away weight but you cannot give away ground" in smaller races the cheats use this method EVERY single day to lose on purpose , if things get off to a bad start they normally stay that way 95% of race/fixing/cheating occurs at the start thanks to the starting stalls...if you watch very carefully you can see them reigning back just as the gates open, James Doyle had NO CHOICE he had to go back from stall 15 the horse likes to be held up from a lower stall he certainly would have been closer, either way in big fields it is tricky coming from behind especially at that track on a yielding surface if you watch the replay closely he had to momentarily check his mount on the way through and that slight loss of momentum was the difference between winning and losing "on the day" of the two I still prefer Enable and would back her again to beat Sea of Class in any race next year!

You love Enable but have no faith in her, that type of love she can do without, don't you think she's got a right to get a little tired on her first proper test since last years l'Arc, hell Treve got it wrong 3 times before Treve hit top gear to win its second l'Arc 2014? Maybe you would have retired Treve too, you would have thought Enable had lost the race the way you are talking, Enable did not run up to her best given her disrupted preparation, but that does not mean she will not hit those hights in the future, and her TimeForm rating of 133 is way better than anything Sea of Class achieved.

The jockey on the second horse needed to improve his position in the run ( easier said than done, granted) but he let Enable dictate the race and put a gap in the field which proved suicidal. You cannot give a champion horse several length start and expect to win. However a great race by two top class horses, (and I wouldn't mind owning the third horse either), both minor placegetters were finishing over the top of Enable.

I firmly believe., A Fitter Enable would have won more convincingly, Yes James Doyle Held up Sea Of Class far too long but Surely the better ground was on the outside, instead he brings her through the middle...where she had to check twice, I was at odds, which one to back even after only one prep race & watching both on video I thought it be too much of an ask to bring a filly through a wall of horses as James Doyle does with sea of class, every time........ Theres a;ways a time when the over done hold up tack ticks, just dont work, more so in a big field You know Enable is going to sit near the pace & Like a special horse., finds another gear & quickens Enable will be fitter next year so should she stays in training To be honest off levels cant see sea of class turning the tables next year either

I don't agree. If as you say the better ground was on the outside Dettori would've used it. He didn't. Keeping to the rail won him the race, it was nothing to do with the ground.

@@MrBlackhibee John, Dettori used the rail, because he was in front, he knew Enable best chance was to stay handy & kick for home, using the rail to keep her straight, James Doyle over did the waiting tatics as usual ( as he did with pinatuboo recently) He brought Sea Of Class through a wall of horses having to check twice, Why..?? not come up the outside where he had an option to do so with no traffic problems Bad Ride thats my point

@@lesliedb7 I see what you mean, and totally agree with what you re. Doyle's ride. Personally I have a bit of a conflict when it comes to Enable, I've always been a fan of Gosden, and Enable's a brilliant horse, but I'm probably in a minority when I say I really can't be bothered with Dettori and his antics at the end of races and afterwards. I remember when he made a right arse of it I think it might have been at either Ascot or Goodwood when he got nailed on the line because he was celebrating too early. It was on an American horse, one of Wesley Wards.

@@MrBlackhibee Agreed.. She sure is an Amazing Mare., few things stands out about Enable, weather it be, she goes in any ground, has won aboard, USA, France. She can make the running or sit off the pace, or even well off it., Im not sure but id think that either the breeders or 2019 King George were her best races, with slight preference for the King George, Propper gallop, sitting well off the pace & beating Crystal Ocean 3/4 lengths hands & Heels, ironic that Enable had waldigest 3 lenghts back in third, only to finish behind that horse the very net race in the Arch & I will say if the ground wasn't so deep last year i think she wouldn't have come back to waldigest, who had nt beaten Enable in three previous attempts .. ironic... Love will be no push over, still not convinced she beaten much, if Ghiaytth turns up he could be very hard to peg back, age may have taken the edge off enables ability too see out the race to the line .thats my only concern. we shall see

I bought a yearling from Goffs for 63000 euros a filly by Night Of Thunder going to name her SEA OF CHEATS she will start VERY fucking slowly in her first 7 races all over 5f then, we will switch her to 1m 4f and again run her down the field 8 times all losing massive amounts of ground at the start so form will be 0000000-00000000 THEN we will switch to a 3mile point to point just to muddy the waters abit finally on to wolverhampton for a 5f selling handicap this time we make all and jump a few shadows on the way round so things don't look too suspicious we will get matt chapman to ride her :P

In fact the horse has been ridden dropped out the back for her 4 victories this year.Her only defeat before today at Newmarket she was ridden up with the pace and finished 2nd.To add to that Sea of Class had a 7lb pull as Enable did not get fillies allowance this year. Granted Sea of Class was unlucky but Enable's performance today only having one run this season is staggering and becomes the first horse in over 100 years to have the one run all season and win the Arc........So less of the BS comments... learn a bit about horse racing and then we will talk😂😂😂
