I am very happy with the paints I got. Exactly what was advertised. Argent Silver has the exact look as the real thing.

It sounds good. I hope you find an importer to Europe, try to contact super-hobby.com, they had Model Master in their range and then they might be interested in finding an enamel replacement.

Hey man, just found you from the comments on another channel. First time visitor. I'm a new modeller and I love what you're doing here. Lots of great tips on paints, clear coats, etc. Cool. I'm subbed up now (#4.9K +1) and hit the notification bell for new content. I'm doing mostly 1:64 stuff and learning the craft as I go. Be safe and have fun with the cars, brother. Enamels are more desirable than lacquer. It's not as reactive with styrene. Doesn't require as much polishing or reworking if properly applied.

I've tried MCW paint several times and it works great. The one thing I like about MCW is prompt delivery and almost nothing of their inventory is ever out of stock. The trouble with Gravity and Zero color paint is it takes forever to deliver and it seems like most of their inventory is always out of stock............

I wonder if the Gunze Sangyo colours are still available, as what I like about them is they were nice and thick so used lots of pigment rather than the cheap paints, so you didnt need to do a ton of coats to get full saturation . I still have a few little jars left

Thanks for the info. I've been using scalefinishes with good results but it's way too thin for touch ups. Will give this a try.

I have made two orders from them, first one was great ! The second one is a night mare I made the order a week later they still have not shipped it, even tho they say they ship the same day that is a lie,! If i had not called inquiring about my order I would have never seen it ! So I called talked to the owner his reply “what do you want me to do about it” how about keep your word ! I guess you do not want me to come back ? A simple (worth less) sorry we will get on it right now I would have been back ! But

I haven't painted with enamel very much, but I really want to learn. This new line should help me get there soon. What size needle should I be using in my airbrush? I am currently running a 2.0
@ScaleModelTechniques4 жыл бұрын
Henry Clayton I use a Paache H series with the #5 head and needle assembly which allows for the widest spray pattern of the three offered for this particular airbrush . You'll have to check your literature on your airbrush to determine which needle allows the widest pattern and set it up accordingly.
@TheSevenTwentyMusic4 жыл бұрын
How does the gloss enamel clear compare to the Testors? I like the ‘thickness’ of the Testors clear (even tho I’m reducing it down anyway) and how easy it is to lay down - but this sounds like a good alternative!
@ScaleModelTechniques4 жыл бұрын
If you know anything about me ... I am a great proponent of enamel . This paint and clear is dead square on the money . You will love it . I promise !
@TheSevenTwentyMusic4 жыл бұрын
Scale Model Techniques And if this new stuff doesn’t have the yellow tint that the Testors clear enamel has, presumably it’ll be safe over lighter colors too? I’m excited to be able to order a bunch!!

Hi Donn, is there 1 particular Pearl Ex color I can use on any color of paint to get that pearl look?
@ScaleModelTechniques3 жыл бұрын
The white Pearl x will bring a silver metallic look on any color . The micro Pearl x brings out a multitude of similar colors related to your base color .

Do you have to mix in the enamel hardener that he sells or can you just cut with lacquer thinner? Been using Testors enamel cut with lacquer thinner a very long time. Hate to see the enamel go away, but I'll use this based on what I'm hearing.
@ScaleModelTechniques3 жыл бұрын
I have experimented with both and had excellent results . I use lacquer thinner myself .

So is the Sunnyside thinner about the same as the other thinner you've recommended?

Smackin Fupas Either SunnySide or Klean Strip work well with the enamels .

Stop moving your hands around so dang much. Damn soon as it's in frame he moves his dang hand. Then the camera man is constantly chasing it around trying to get it in frame. We can understand what your saying without swinging your hands around
