I love that you gave Camilo a room of mirrors, I think his room would have been one of the more interesting ones to see as what do you do to represent shapeshifting. Mirrors not only reflect himself but all the people he can be, but I think Camilo may suffer as much as other family members because he doesn't get a chance to figure out who he is. He shifts and changes his appearance to help the community Abuela Alma and the refugees made all those years ago, but was he ever given the chance to look in a mirror and see himself? What kind of young man he is or wants to be come? But, like his powers he easily masks those emotions. But, I can see who he is in some portions from the movie. Mainly when helping his mama calm down, like his father he's a source of grounding for her, giving her strength and balance when her powers throw her sideways. That's when his mask comes down and he just is himself. Sorry for rambling there, great video.

Camilo's room, practiced routine and even his catchphrase "Show time!" are *exactly* what I imagine for his character. He treats everyday like he's an actor putting on a play. He doesn't know who is other than a shape-shifter. He's good at imitating others, but doesn't know how to be himself.

One of the best animatics paired with stellar voice acting, sound effects and background music. i like looking at more of Camilo's identity crisis, the fact that it feels like his room was designed to be for him but it could seem like it's also bullying him at the same time. in the original animatic he says "besides, looking at who im not helps me figure out who I am", casita probably even knows that the mirrors is not helping his identity issues

Isabela- she practices her perfect poses Camilo- acts like anyone and everyone Bonus: Luisa- (tries to) get stronger every morning. Antonio- plays with his animal friends Julieta- practices her cooking when she's not making food for the people Sometimes her baking is tested on Agustin (either when he's hurt or when she is trying something different or new) Pepa- unless she's having a sad dream or is reading a good book, she tries not to soak the bed lol. Bruno- does Bruno stuff with his rats

I love this so much! we never get to hear camilos voice because its either an impression or just little lines. I fu$^ing swear, we have more lines with mariono than screen time with Camilo, like what the hell! He's funny, very polite, and we could have had at least some talk with him because his gift and how amazing it is, or have atleast addressed it more! Plus the design for the room is so unique, whoever designed it must have had their work cut out for them. Him having a theater but also with tons of mirrors are a cool concept!

I was just searching for anything about Camilo since he's an underdeveloped char in Encanto and there's no specific analysis about him when I saw this masterpiece. Thank you for your great animation that analyzes his struggle with his gift, which makes it become balanced for he now also has his own character analysis. Encanto fans have always discussed it but your animation illustrates it perfectly!

I think that's literally anyone with a superpower. you can shapeshift, but a reflection questions your own face. you can see or hear anything, but you can see or hear Everything. you're super strong, but sometimes you think you're either too strong, or not strong enough. etc. (not to mention that most of the time, someone you love dies when or before you had superpowers.)

i saw this on instagram (the W.I.P and result) and i loved it so much! The part where Antonio ask if his brother is okay is pretty wholesome and Camilo trying to hide the horrors of his identity crisis from his younger brother and how he sees himself in Antonio is so sad.

Part 1: Camilo let out a yelp, his voice increasing an octive as he fell, his arms flailing around, his face twisted in thinly veiled fear. His eyes scanned the courtyard in panic, his arms outstretched as he barely grabbed hold of a railing casita had knocked loose. He swayed dagerously, loosing his grip from one arm, his shoulder nearly popping out of its socket from the sharp stop to his fall. His palms becane slick in sweat as he struggled to hold on, his arm giving out, his body back in free fall. A scream tire from his throat. He was falling again, falling quickly, the tiled floor of the courtyard nearing, his arms swipping up over his head to protect it from impact and- Camilo shot up in bed, covered in cold sweat, his chest rising up and down in an unsteady rhythm of harsh, desprate breaths. His frame shook with each shaky gulp of air. He glanced over to the wall-long mirror to his right, his eyebrows knit together.

Great job of the voices for the voice acting of Trinblom's animatic. You guys did great! 😁 Seriously, I hope they use or reference this animatic for the canon franchise or come up with something similar themselves. Considering how the creators described Camilo as someone who doesn't quite know who he is yet and considering how sad and devastated he was after losing his gift, I wouldn't be surprised if the poor boy *does* go through a bit of an identity crisis.
