Today I want to discuss Isabela's true love! If Mariano wasn’t Isabela’s perfect match, then who could be? Believe it or not, in early drafts of Encanto, there was a suitor that was initially considered for Isabela who she was in love with named Bubo Marques.

I have to admit though I'd rather see them flesh out Mariano and have him and Dolores have a healthy relationship. There would be so much opportunity to explore what traumatic family dynamics will do to a relationship.

Yeah I feel like she needs someone who would want to help her in any way they can like make sure she relaxes and doesn’t over work. Someone who can cheer her up and support her when she’s feeling sad or anxious. Maybe surprise her by cleaning her room when she’s out helping the village so that she can relax as soon as she’s home and not have to stress about responsibilities. Someone who sees how stressed and anxious she gets and helps her through it. I feel like it would also be nice if they gave her a boyfriend who’s shorter and not as physically strong as her to show that contrast as in the real world there’s so much pressure on men being stronger and taller than their girlfriend and girls often feel embarrassed if they’re very tall or have a muscular build and might not wear heels despite wanting to just because society puts so much pressure on that and it would be nice to see them straying away from those standard to show that it’s okay if the roles are switched. Although I think she could be with anyone as long as they make her happy and treats her well and let’s her relax when she needs to.

I see Luisa with someone like Mariano, maybe The Rock-like built - physically strong built, but a gentle giant, tough looking but runs after butterflies and stops to smell a flower and kinda clumsy like Augustine and with a good heart and he'd love Mirabel and he'd be really kind to everyone in the family and he would treat Luisa as a queen and the most perfect person in the world

I would love to see Bruno find love. He had been left out of his families lives for years because he thought they would be better off without him; he thought his gift was hurting his family. So after finally being accepted back home with his family, he would most likely have to learn to love himself despite what people thought of him, his gift was never by choice and that wasn't his fault. So to see this awkward man find love for himself, and someone who sees him for him, would be amazing.

She's just rejecting her role as the perfect grandchild. I think we forget Isabela, while 21 years old, is still young and has the right to be a little less mature than her parents. I agree Kronk would be a good partner for Luisa. She's done so much for town, sometimes she forgets to priotise self care. He has a great personality, strong, since one of skills is cooking, mother has a cook healing ability, she'd approve of him. The second skill, he was a scout in his younger years which allows him to communicate with animals and helps others. I'd imagine he'd get along well with rest to family as well. Angela would approve of him as well.

I was thinking that a miniseries on D+ would be cool. Something like "Encanto: A New Foundation" and have it show the changing dynamics of the family and the relationships you talk about here. Seeing both Delores and Mariano grow to find genuine love together, Isabella finding herself drawn to a tiny, genuine, and adventurous guy like you mentioned. Camilo struggling with self identity because for the longest time the only way he could be of help was by NOT being himself and the crushing loneliness that brings which he hides behind jokes and pranks. Isabella, Luisa, and Mirabel becoming the best friend sisters they couldn't be before because of the pressure they were all under. Luisa learning to balance her love of helping others with her love of her own hobbies and interests such as fantasy stories (I mean come on, Donkey Unicorns are something for a total fantasy lover) and maybe she could find love of writing! A scene where the donkeys get out but Luisa isn't available but Antonio excitedly offers to help use his Gift to wrangle the donkeys, and discover that trying to do it Luisa's way will never work so he goes through several methods until he sits down with the constantly escaping donkeys and communicates with them, discovering the real reason why they keep escaping allowing the Donkey Rancher to change the environment or barn or whatever the issue is so the donkeys can be happy in their home. Stuff like that. MAYBE look into the past! Perhaps Agustin was once Bruno's only childhood friend and through a vision and hijinks and Agustin's accident prone tendencies he and Julieta fall in love directly in part of Bruno's vision and efforts to make his best friend and his older sister happy. Abuela learning how to reconnect with her family would be a lovely story arc, and of course we need more of the lovely dynamic of Felix and Pepa.

Honestly, this was an interesting examination. As far as the continuing story of the Madrigals goes, I would want to see how the relationships within the family change and see family member interactions that we didn’t see in the film. For example, Bruno’s relationship with his two oldest nieces or Isabela’s relationship with Augustin and Julieta. I would also want to see how Abuela Alma’s relationships with each of her grandchildren change- especially Mirabel, Isabela, and Luisa. And, of course, more scenes with the Triplets interacting would be quite fun to see

If we are going for a series, then explore Camilo more and his relationship with others in the Encanto. He was a bit out of focus in this movie, so he has a lot of room to develop. What we do know is that he is fun-loving, funny, compassionate, and cares deeply about his family. He also apparently like to act and imitate others.

I want to see Bruno reintroduced to the town. Mirabelle helps the town understand how to interpret his visions and explains that they are not all bad. Then, he finds someone who understands him, who continues mirabelle's influence to help his gift evolve. Of course, mirabelle will help him be more confident when pursuing his love interest. Or, we time skip to Dolores and Mariano's wedding. During preparations for the event, Luisa is doing her thing and moving the church, again, to a sunnier spot for the event. While she is doing her job, she can't help but notice someone leaving notes and gestures to make her tasks easier. She tells her sisters that she has a secret admirer and needs help identifying him. Let the hijinks commence. 😆 lol

Seeing Luisa fall in love would be nice! I initially thought of someone that was the complete opposite of her, scrawny but with a big heart like her. But for a girl that “knows what her worth is”, I think she needs someone that could help share her burdens. Take things off her hands and make her relax because she’d still have the habit of working so hard. Someone that also works too hard and is kind like her. That may mean someone that is insanely muscular, but not as strong as her because well no magic. I like the thought of a man, maybe a traveler, that sees her and her strength and is smitten. Louisa likes his strength too but they fall in love because they can both ‘lift each other up’ metaphorically and physically. There’s a few ways such a relationship could go. Like rival/competitive(?) flirting with actual sweet flirting. Edit: Someone that is sort of like buff dad Massimo from Luca but more happy and smiley! A street smart? Kronk…?

Personally I would love to see Luisa get with a strong hunky guy who got got caught up with her impressive strength and the kindness she shows to her community and actively tries to help her to get to know her while also trying impressive her as well. But as they grow closer he learns how much being relied on burdens her and stresses her out so he does as much as physically possible to release her from some of the labor. I would also love it if he was a romantic man who could literally sweep her off her feet and make her feel so feminine and Danity without down playing her strength too, I think she deserves to be seen as womanly as any other woman in her family even with her more masculine physique

I really hope Encanto gets a series that explores all the relationships between the characters- romantic, platonic, and familial. I'd also like to see the characters also live everyday life after the movie and adjusting to such a drastic chance in familial hierarchy (Abuela is a lot less strict, Bruno's back, Mirabel is now being given opportunity to help out her family and the townsfolk, and Luisa and Isabela won't have to handle so much pressure to help the family). I'd love to see Camilo and Luisa pursue romance and to see Dolores and Mariano develop a romantic relationship (the "let's get married" interaction is cute, but it's a mere crumb to the possibilities in the future). I also think it'd be cute to see Abuela work to mend the bonds between everyone and just having wholesome moments with her children and grandchildren. As a whole, Encanto is an ocean of opportunities and possibilities; Disney would be crazy to not explore them more.

The next Madrigal I'd like to see finding love is definetly Bruno. He's lived in the shadows for so long and before that he was execrated by everyone in the village and seen as nothing but a bringer of disgrace, the "prophet of the apocalypse" vibes pushed people away. But now that things have changed inside and outside the Madrigal house, maybe the people in the village would get to see Bruno for the kind and caring guy he really is and no longer as that bogeyman/bad omen they always thought him to be. And then he would find a nice lady who sees his true worth and loves him so. After all he's been through, Bruno Madrigal deserves all the love in the world and seeing him find love, get married and maybe even start a family like his sisters did would definetly warm my heart ❤

As much as I love the concept, I feel like Isabella wouldn't fall in love so soon. She's just discovered herself and all she's ever done is be who others wanted to be and this is her time to be herself for herself. Other folks have mentioned having a Kronk-like character and I think that kinda works. She thinks she has to carry the world on his shoulders and he just wants to help. So if for some reason she's knocked out he can and will step in with a smile on a face. Sure he ain't as strong (because magic) but he's still about as strong as a mundane man can be.

If they made a sequel, I’d like to see them explore a new generation of family members, perhaps the children of Dolores or Luisa, seeing what powers they have and what a new family of gifts would look like, maybe with the grandmother passed away and Mirabelle taking over that position, it could be interesting to see what it would look like having new responsibilities placed upon the family members, but I definitely think Luisa should get less pressure taken off and settle down with someone who can help lift her load or at least help her carry it, I think you would be a really interesting story arc to see her falling in love with someone who helps take the pressure off.

I kind of like the idea of Isabela falling in love with a less-than-perfect guy like Bobo, who despite his flaws respects, admires and loves Isabela as she truly is. Maybe they could write a similar but also different love interest for her in a sequel or sequel series. Maybe someone who shares her interests like a geeky botanist and/or a sensitive, shy artist. Someone who can relate to her and share similar passions with her. Of course if she does remain single in other movies or a series I'm honestly okay with that. I am curious though about them exploring the love lives of other members of the family. My thoughts: 1. I could see Camilo trying all sorts of different personas to impress a crush, only for them to encourage him to just be himself, which for him is confronting and scary, but worth it as he learns to relax and be comfortable with himself without using his shape-shifting abilities. 2. Luisa I definitely have a number of headcanons about a love-interest for her. I could she her carrying the love interest in a threshold style. Mirabel I actually don't have a clue about what kind of person she'd be attracted to, but if she *does* have one I reckon they'd ought to be very patient and understanding of her. Still, I'd okay Mirabel stayed single, if it's what she wants. Personally the character I'd love to have a love interest the most is Bruno. He's been in lonely isolation for so long, plus he's felt so much rejection due to his spooky gift, which probably didn't help him in matters of dating. Personally I'd love to see him not only settle back into society but also make up for years he's lost and consider starting a family of his own. Being that he's 50 and has an awkward and shy personality, I imagine dating would be an awkward and uncomfortable subject for him (think of Gru from the "Despicable Me" franchise), though I hope he'll be lucky to find a kind and empathetic partner who can love him warts and all and can also help him to become more comfortable with himself and his confusing powers. I think that would be really beautiful and satisfying for him. 🥰😊 Another thought I considered for him though could even be him potentially adopting a child, whether him adopting his romantic partner's children, or as a single parent. I personally think he'll make a wonderful dad. 😊 Either way, I would love to see more of the Madrigal family in the future. I certainly am curious to if they do write love stories for any of the single members of the family.

I think Isabela’s true love could be explored in an Encanto sequel (if one happens) and that her true love could be her polar opposite. Take Mirabell’s parents or Felix and Pepa, (who I think marriage was arranged) Felix was her soul mate and can calm her, whereas Isabela’s and Luisa’s soulmates could encourage their gifts more.

Bruno, Camilo, Luisa Bruno is an awkward 50 year old guy who has been stuck in the walls for ten years so I can see poor sweet baby boi needing help with interacting with someone he wants to go on a date with. Maybe the his nephews and nieces try to give him a bunch of advice which can go either really good or end up terribly. Maybe even his sisters or mother would try to help there baby triplet brother as they have experience with the process. Good family bonding experience. I would love to see Bruno. He has been alone for so long that he would have to take it slow and probably be awkward, but I could see it being in a cute way. Maybe there is a woman in town who is a vet, and he takes one of his mice to see her when they get a bad cold. Maybe they go on a date, and its awkward and goes awry, but is cute and ends well. I could see him so scared to have a vision because he is scared to see his own future with her if it doesnt turn out. He considers ghosting her, and going back into hiding, but his sisters (and the rest) convince him not to. Eventually he has a vision of him holding a baby boy, and he realizes that he wants to be able to connect with others again, and is excited to be a father someday. He admits he wont stop being alone if he doesnt stop running when worried about his future. So he decided to take the risk, and they keep dating. :)

Isabella's appeal (at least to me) is that she just doesn't want to learn and discover someone else yet cause she's still learning and discovering HERSELF, and i think she wants to focus on that first. I also don't think Mirabel should get a LI cause of similar reasons and her whole arc is about being accepted by her family so they should explore that more first.

Encanto the series needs to happen, it would be great to see more character development and family drama from the Madrigals. Camilo somewhat reminds me of Leo Valdez from the Heroes of Olympus Series because their both funny and witty; Camilo trying to impress girls and comedically failing at it would hilarious to see. Louisa is someone who should definitely get a love interest if Disney does an Encanto series. Mirabel, Bruno, Isabella, and Louisa would benefit from a storyline about their relationship with Alma because she has a whole lot of apologies to make.

I was told recently that there was a story planned for Camilo where he'd be dealing with an identity crisis because he believed people didn't like him if he wasn't being someone else. That would be a really good foundation for a love story because we could see him fall for somebody that would rather see the true Camilo than see him in one of his many masks. I'd love for somebody to tell him they like HIS face or HIS eyes or something that's unique to HIM, and he just be a little dumbfounded because he's probably only ever gotten compliments about how accurate his transformations are.

It's fun reading Isabella and Camillo through a queer lens. That said, I'm scared who they'd design for Luisa. They fought so hard to let her be big and strong and refused to design her like "a man with a bow". I'm scared they'd partner her with a man, and design him in such a way as to "swap gender roles" for the relationship. (i.e. design him tiny, overly emotional, and fragile) I'm tired of that being the only option I've seen for women in media who don't fit traditional gender expectations.

I think it would be cool is Luisa was with an artist or sculpture. Like someone who admires how she glows and makes art of her. Like glass statutes or colourful paintings, she would be the ultimate muse. Someone who can sit and show her all the small sweet things together. It would be fun to see Camilo try and fail with multiple girls, but since so many girls crush on him and he is so young, they should probably keep a girl out of his life. It would be totally cool if he became best friends with a girl, though, and you know there's feelings of attraction bubbling on the inside, but neither of them realize it, and Camilo is just going along with all her crazy ideas because he loves spending time with her. I can imagine a cute scene where the girl gets a crazy idea for something they should do for fun or to help others, and he just says, "Bye, gotta go!" This made me imagine a character similar to Xiangling from Genshin Impact, a cheerful, hyperactive, and reckless character who sees the potential for delicious meals in all kinds of odd ingredients/places and gets herself into trouble a lot because the places she finds her rare and strange ingredients are usually very dangerous. The artist character I'm imagining would be a lot like that except they find beauty in very odd things, but seeing these things through the lens of their paintings makes their vision make more sense. Isabela falling in love with a person like that would be great because the two of them would probably see the beauty in the unconventional yet still lovely things they create.

I think this would have been an interesting change if they used it for Luisa instead of Isabella. Like maybe Luisa has a crush on this guy and always makes time to help him out just so she has a reason to see him even if she's always SOOO busy. He's the only one we hear appreciate her. The rest of the story still goes the same, just when she loses her power, Luisa feels like the family is going to disown her if they find out since she feels like her only worth is defined by her power. Instead of telling Mirabel to find Bruno, maybe she instead mentions how Bruno was told to foresee something and just disappeared. What if he lost his gift too? We know later he didn't but Mirabel is driven by this fear she's going to lose her sister the same way which deepens her fear when she sees Luisa struggling during We Don't Talk About Bruno because she doesn't want Luisa to be the next "Bruno" where after she's gone people start blaming her for things going wrong because they relied on her too much and it's her fault for not being there. Or even if the story took more than a few days we hear villagers in the background being confused about stuff not being done. So at first Mirabel thinks the prophecy will be about Luisa and her having some tie to the cracks since she's losing her magic but then gets the shock that it's about her. Which gets explained when she meets Bruno because he's just fine, just decided to go away after the vision he had the day of Mirabel's ceremony. Mirabel knows the new vision wants her to go make up with Isabella but she doesn't want to at first and wonders how she can get a hug when Isa isn't even speaking to her right now. But then she sees Luisa packing up because the ruined engagement party was the last straw and even though Mirabel tells her the same thing Bruno did (without saying she met him, just using his words) which is how the mountains make it pretty difficult to run away, Luisa is sure if anyone can manage it, she could. It would just be better for everyone if she did, y'know? Mirabel is angry but determined as she goes into Isa's room to fix this and Luisa either didn't make it out of the house before the confrontation or when Isa's powers explode and we see the variety of plants just encompassing the village, we see a shot of Luisa with a loaded donkey and the guy she likes on her way out of town but the explosion of plants draws her fear back to the house. She can't see what Isa and Mirabel are doing, just knows that Isa is probably the source and looks at her BF to gesture he wait with the donkey as she runs back home because powers or no powers, she thinks Isa is in danger. Or worse, as she's been conditioned to fight any threats she may need to save everyone FROM Isabella. (Not that any of this had to be explained, just have that moment of her her making the decision to run back with a look of determination and leave it for us to interpret who she's saving. Her family either way.) And not only do Mirabel and Isa hug at the end of the song, but Luisa came back and is hold her hand when Abuela gets there both of which is helping to heal because the three sisters are there for each other and their love comes first. But then everything falls apart when Abuela and Mirabel get into it and things go on the same except during the rebuilding we might have some clip or a line of Luisa and her guy together (maybe her jumping in the hammock and he's serving her which is sweet after all she's done for him.) And I dunno I'm rambling now. 😁
