Netherlands really nailed this song. The lyrics really capture Mirabel's desperation. Lyrics such as "I am so much more, how do I turn the tide?" and "Even if the miracle is really small" are great interpretations of the original song (and Mirabel) even though they weren't in the English lyrics. The singer is also awesome but that goes without saying.

Dutch Waiting on a Miracle for me, is the best. My favorite is when she said, "Als ik heel wat broos is, Is dan iedereen trots op mij?" _Translation: If I heal what is fragile, is everyone then proud of me?"_ . Which I think is so beautiful, and the meaning just hits me right in the heart.

I love it when localizations aren’t afraid to vary from the original lyrics, without changing the meaning. It’s a hard balance to hit but I think this one did it pretty well.

Totally agree with you! Didn’t like her Moana either but saw the Dutch version of Encanto in cinema and she really amazed me!

@@emiliaswan115 indeed she’s so so so good!!! She totally gets the character whereas Vaiana I don’t know it just wasn’t a fit for me. Also her voice just didn’t fit the character and Mirabel is just perfect!!!

If you're english ik the dutch version isn't the same as the english lyrics like what it means but its bc the words don't always fit or sound good in dutch

Because both Dutch and English are Germanic languages, so there are a lot of similarities between the three the three languages.

@@moviesdubcollection2351 no it doesn’t! In my country, the only things that are dubbed are stuff for children or young teens, so animated movies, the Harry Potter movies, maybe some Netflix things, but not any of the movies or series aimed towards general/older audiences!
