Makoto was an inspiration to me growing up because he was unapologetically a femboy and owned it. Plus everyone still treated him like a friend and companion. In my eyes, Makoto is good representation at a time when that wasn't the norm.

Nice video!! I've had this game in my backlog for a while, but never had the motivation to try it out. I'm currently playing through the Phantasy Star Universe story mode and will probably try Enchanted Arms next.

Amazing memories with this game. I know From Software has hit it's stride, but I wish they would try different types of games like they used to.

It's nice seeing a person who doesn't hate JRPGs review this game. Penny Arcade have a comic strip back in 2006 about critics of enchanted Arms being mad that was a jrpg and that was their only criticism of it. I saw a few days ago a former game journalist who did reviews in the 90s re-review a bunch of jrpgs that he gave low scores or high scores whether they were 3D or 2d. Because a lot of jrpgs on the PS1 that were not Final Fantasy only got good or bad reviews because of the graphics. Game journalist from the mid-2000s they need to answer for their crimes. It is literally only because of Western game journalist turning against the genre in the mid-2000s is the reason why Tales of Vesperia and Tales of the Abyss has some of the lowest reviews in the entire franchise.

I found this game from a discount bin at walmart in the early 2000s'. I loved it. It was one of those games that no one ever really heard of but I grabbed any game I could get my hands on when I was a teen.

Is anyone ever start watching a KZbin video thinking that they had never seen it before until they’re some of the way into the video and then you remember that you HAVE seen it before?

The Xbox 360 is just so interesting at times - when Microsoft was still trying to break through in Japan. I‘m currently collecting all the EU JRPGs on the 360. almost done, may go after the US titles afterwards.

JRPGs have quickly become one of my favorite genres, which is perfect timing with this series starting. I haven’t heard of any JRPGs for the 360, really, and as someone who loves gaming history I’m excited to see whether these games are hidden gems or duds. Enchanted Arms certainly seems neat, and while “charm” as the main draw for games has never hooked me in, the gameplay seems solid enough that I’d probably give this a go when the opportunity arises! I’m loving how this series has started and I can’t wait for your thoughts on Blue Dragon!

However the PS3 version in my opinion got the better stuff especially certain boss songs in the game that were not in the 360 version which is interesting at the time, I think who played this game know what I talk about especially in the boss songs.

This game is not 'homophobic' its just how media was back then and why games are so stale now.
