i like the idea of imbedding technology in many objects to further excel in their purposes (e.g. umbrella weather report): it frees more of our time and attention for other things. This is an important point: the digital age has essentially given us the opportunity to live longer lives; it's a shame that people often take it for granted, and blow away their time.

I do like the idea of simplifying the technology so rather than having one device that is mediocre at many things the objects can be good at just one specific task
