Enclosing our Chicken Run: Keeping the chickens safe

After losing more of our chickens to predators, we finally get around to enclosing the new, extra-large chicken run. We have happy birds!

What a treat for a Saturday night! I’ve been having a bad day so I was excited to see a video uploaded from you all. I’m sorry to hear something is getting your chickens. It will be a relief when they’re safe. I’m sure the chickens will appreciate it too. It definitely looks like you’ve had your fair share of rain. I love seeing everyone help out. Many hands makes light work. The feeders are cool! Yay!! New babies!! Haha.. big bad wolf. They grow so fast. The finished product looks FANTASTIC!! Great job everyone!! 💛💛

Great job! Gotta keep them chickens safe. We had an Owl problem, snatching our chickens, until we put up canopy netting. We haven't had any snatched since.

IMO, you should've used1x1 inch hardware cloth for the side wall to prevent mouse/rats easily get in to eat the eggs..

Id say you guys have had a raccoon 🦝 a skunk 🦨 or a weasel/Mink problem if you're having chickens get killed. If they were getting gone in daylight it could've been a bird of prey getting them such as hawk or bald eagle 🦅. Brooke you need a chicken tractor to move to a different spot of grass every day for them Cornish Cross meat birds they really eat alot of grass and any bugs they can find. Also a little tid bit of information for ya, if i was you and chuck id not feed any animals of mine any wheat 🌾 the new farmed wheat 🌾 has been genetically modified to have harmful to health things in all wheat now! I wish the government and their scientists in cahoots with big pharma would keep their noses out of our farming and our & our animals food production!!! After i done research and found out the stuff they've genetically put in wheat 🌾 ive stopped all wheat consumption. I just wonder if they're doing oats and corn 🌽 the same way? No wonder so many peoples developing cancer. That mess needs to stop. Anyway nice coop awesome job Anderson family 👍🏼😁👍🏼
