Did anyone else who had Ratchet or Ironhide as a little kid in the 80s think they screwed up following the instructions after transforming them? I remember getting Ratchet for Christmas in 1984 and thinking, "this can't be right!".

IIRC, my G1 Ironhide had Stickers for his sunroof. ^^ Also, you the gun (minus the red knob) can attach to his underside in van-mode.

What you said about not needing to separate the mount from the turret ever is wrong. Fun fact - Rachet and Ironhide have weapon storage for the turret, sans red mount, in vehicle mode; the gun is designed to plug into that hole in the middle of their hips.

They make the cartoon accurate heads for them now. I ordered them on eBay for my iron hide and ratchet.

Ive got the original g1 ironhide 100% complete and in awesome condition, I can't wait for the MP version to be released.

I've just got these off ebay and alot of ppl will probably say why on earth would you waste ya money lol.but with the announcement of both rachet and ironhide coming out in masterpiece scale the g1 will be added in alt modes as all my collection have g1 alt modes displayed next to my masterpiece and 3rd party figures so I'm trying to get all the masterpiece figures in the g1 toys I've already got not many collections I've seen on utube display there collection in this way and looking at them together look pretty god damn awesome to say how the g1 bot modes look there's no question that the alt modes look a damn site better so please feel free to copy my idea with your collections if u haven't already done so

Damn man Miami looked really bad last night and lost a bunch of starters. SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! I felt like I was at a funeral watching the game :( .................bottom line is that Miami has missing pieces and they were obviously out coached. BIG SUPRISE ....tired of the Patriots already. That's cool your playing through Uncharted again. I thought about picking up but will wait for the new release. Will you be picking up Mastermind Creations Spartan aka Impactor? Or are you 100% done with 3rd party action?

LOL see you on the Grid Iron fellow collector. Yeah that's a tough game for the Cowboys. My oldest son is a Dallas fan and so is my best friend.......I always keep an eye on the Cowboys but we meet up soon ....week 9. Looking forward to your show tomorrow.

If this TOY "ruined your childhood" you must have been pretty spoiled, and you had no imagination. (Perhaps you are being sarcastic, I don't know) Yeah these looked nothing like the cartoon, but some of the Diaclone stuff just didn't. Those of us who were kinda poor were thankful for whatever we got and I remember these as great toys. And they fit perfectly in with the cartoon in my imaginative kid world at the time.

@@G1Hexatron That's because far too many low-information Transfans are ignorant of the Diaclone line. Anyone who is familiar with the Diaclone toy line, knows this is a brilliant mold, which only suffers as a Transformer because of the way that Hasbro repurposed it into the Transformers toy line.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this mold. In the original Diaclone line, it was a transforming piloted mecha, where the robot section turned into the equivalent of Buster's robotic exosuit from the UK Comic and the rest of it turned into a mobile battle station that fits 2 dianauts. The only issues with this mold as a Transformer, stems from how Hasbro shoehorned it into the Transformers toyline.

And the irony is that they supposedly didn't go with MC-19 Scope Man because the design didn't quite look right. I don't think people should hate on the toys though - given that if you don't apply the head sticker and put at least 1 dianaut in there, you literally have the Diaclone toy anyway.

The figure is awesome and as part of the Diaclone line, it's a brilliant figure - there is literally nothing wrong with the design as a van that turned into a giant power armour suit (think Buster's robotic exosuit) and mobile battlestation. This figure's "shortcomings" (and I use that term incredibly loosely) are purely due to the way it was shoehorned into the Transformers toyline.
