Good dads in Apex - Gibby’s dad is a chad rescue operative who sacrificed his arm for his son and son’s boyfriend. - Blood’s uncle (who’s basically his surrogate dad) raised them to be tough but also respect their culture and the natural world. - Rampart’s family photo suggests loving and supportive parents. - Same with Seer, with them even going against their community for mistreating their son. - Wattson’s papi is a patient and loving father/father figure. - Viper tried to be a good father and was loved by Valk, despite his dangerous job. Remember, he’s a mercenary who just happened to be hired by the IMC, and like Blisk would have probably backed out once the contract had been completed had he survived. - Loba’s dad is an oceans eleven tier thief who married his partner in crime, took his family out to a fancy dinner to celebrate a successful heist. Even after watching this demon machine tear through his bodyguards and kill his wife, man kept his calm enough to save Loba even if at the cost of his own survival. - and as always, Newcastle best dad.

@@captainblighe7297 wasn’t really sure about him, I was under the impression he was a crime boss of some kind, wit the bodyguards he had in Rev’s cinematic. After reviewing the lore, however, mans was an oceans eleven tier thief who married his partner in crime, and that fancy dinner was a one-off celebration for a successful heist (the bodyguards I assume then must have been hired specifically for that dinner due to how recent the heist was, just in case). Thus, Marcos Andrade’s name is to be added to the “Chad Apex Dads” list

9:20 IMO Ballistic's depressed because he feels responsible for his brother in law's death (that's info on their website about him. His teammates were siblings, he married the girl making them family), the story on the news show his "peacocking" & need to be the center of attention lead to his brother in law's death. While it is a death match (oddly with a really low death rate) his actions caused this, that's why he doesn't want his son in the game so he doesn't make the same mistakes he did.

@@lukiklepsa6218 I think during the Thunderdome days it was a true death match and in apex it's different now with the respawn stuff considering the Thunderdome is a while ago in the past.

You also have to remember, they dont really die in the apex games (Or at least they can come back from the injuries sustained). Look at the OG Newcastle before Jackson took up the mantle. He lost multiple qualifiers and still lived. So while it is a "Death Game", they don't necessarily die. I'm assuming what happened to his teammate based on the TV segment was that his overly-aggressive playstyle let to an accident that killed his friend and he made a vow to him that he wouldn't compete again. This is why he said he is breaking a vow to the dead to protect the living.

Thunderdome games are not the same as Apex if I'm not wrong. They were more brutal and people could died.

Thunderdome Games were an actual bloodsport: win or die, those were the options. There was no respawn chamber.

@@GD_HdF I’m still confused if the respawn chamber is canon or not. Since Mad Maggie was thrown into the Apex Games under the pretense of “death by combat”. Which implies that people actually can die in the Apex Games.

I think they all know and expected whats going to happen in a death game. But in his situation, he was the cause of it, because of his own selfishness and carelessness. And thats why he was guilty and sad and broken after his realization of everything that happened which was already too late.

There is a bit of... What's the word.. self-centeredness but like, underlying? It can be for his kid, but knowing his past of being "pecocky" and self-centeredness, as well as not being a great father, one can assume the dude is doing it for himself under the guise of doing it for his kid. Kinda like how some pageant moms make their daughters participate to live vicariously through them? He could be using his son as a way to get back in the limelight.

That reason being to prevent his son from joining the games so he won't die.

Also, on the official Apex Legends website for Ballistic's bio, it ends with "His son would be safe from the path that ruined him. What better way to use those skills than in selfless service? And if it just so happens to be his favorite activity, killing all who stand against him…That’s quite the fortunate coincidence." I'm pretty sure, at the very least, that we're supposed to be suspicious of his motives. Not that it isn't for his son, but it might not be 100% pure. In his trailer, it was also kind of hinting that he was just coasting through life without much purpose, a deadbeat father, and that he was forgotten by the public. By substituting his son, he now has a purpose and is "helping" his son, while also gaining public favor and being seen as a "loving father". Of course, all of it can be true at once cause none of it is contradictory.

If the Thunderdome was anything like the Apex Games, losing a match doesn't usually mean death, it just means you need to get patched up. Oldcastle lost like 40 matches and didn't die until getting shot by a Wingman outside the games with no medical help at the ready, Mirage lost his match in Newcastle's Season story and didn't ofc die but his teammate did pass away

If the leak is accurate, he can debuff your primary forcing you to try to remove that debuff or switch weapon.

“I want to break a sacred vow made to the dead, to save the living”. Seems like his backstory is that he accidentally got his teammate killed and vowed never to set foot in the arena again. But to save his son from making the same mistake in the game or become the casualty of other’s mistakes. He has to break the vow.

I think his Passive will be something related to movement or guns in some way, his Tac is disabling Guns and/or abilities. Then his Ult could be either dual wield guns or something to do with those glasses like temporary Smart Pistol tracking.

I don't know for sure but my bet was that the one who died was probably a brother in-law also his friend. he had married the dudes sister the girl crying and when they had a child he reminded him of the brother and didn't want to face him. that's also why he didn't want him to go into the apex games, he didn't want his ex and himself to go through the same thing again since they look too similar.
