I worked in the souvenir shop at Thursford Museum in 1986 and Robert played there every day and every day I requested him to play "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" from Annie and so every day he played it. Wonderful memories. Thank you Robert ;0)

Very nostalgic. My Grandparents used to take my brother and I to Thursford to see/hear Robert Wolfe in the 80's. They are still with us, one is 90-years-old and the other not too far off it, and still living in the same house they did three decades ago.

Robert Wolfe inspired my dad so much, he inspired me also, both me and my dad are both concert organists, church organist and thanks to Mr Wolfe's playing methods I've become an theatre (concert ) organist myself. FYI I'm the only person in the history of our family that played the largest organ in the world at the boardwalk Hall in Atlantic city, I'm also the first in our family to play internationally and also the first in our family to achieve cathedral organist and lastly I'm the only in our family to become an organ builder

Thank you for this, very good. Can i ask, when the 'Train sound ' was being made what were the two tabs doing that were waving up & down on the upper center row. Thank you.

Thank you.

The two tabs indicate the state of the swell boxes. The swell boxes are the see-saw looking levers in front of the pedal keyboard. These make shutters in front of some of the pipes open and close to make the sounds louder and quieter.

Is this digitally sampled or acoustic?
@TheMechanicalChannel9 жыл бұрын
+Chopy 61 Hi Chopy all the sounds you hear on this video are real instruments played mechanically including the sound effects.

Alec Walters even the piano?
@TheMechanicalChannel9 жыл бұрын
+Chopy 61 Some of these organs now have electronic pianos but I think this one has the real thing.

I half expected him to play a tune called Nancy Boy" Man up !!!
@tph25588 жыл бұрын
Andy Forest I think it is you that has the problem closet clout
@ChrisRichmond8 жыл бұрын
If he did play a tune called "Nancy Boy", I bet he'd play an absolutely flawless rendition of it with such dignity and still receive a standing ovation... and you wouldn't be able to play it half as well... :-D I don't think Mr. Wolfe needs to take your advice to 'man up'. I reckon he's perfectly content the way he is and rises above comments such as this. :-)

Andy Forest ... I can smell your lager farts and body odor all the way across the Atlantic. Congratulations idiot. Wise Up!
