One thing I realized while watching this episode: while Jugram and Lille's distrust of Uryu is well-placed, their need to repeatedly test his loyalty by sending him against Ichigo and Renji is leading them to make tactical blunders, as Uryu would've been a better opponent to send against Mayuri.

You're right, but they don't know the history between those 2. Him and Kenpachi also appeared in a different part of Warwelt than the others. They might not even know they are there.

I don’t think their plan was to send him specifically against Renji, I think they just sent him to an area the Gotei 13 was near so he had a bigger chance of fighting one of them.

The Royal Guards were randomly disperse i don't think they knew which group they was encountering which is why Askin was complaining about getting Ichigo group and why Gerad got no one

One funny part in all of this is that Mayuri and Kenpachi are easily one of the deadliest combos together in all of Bleach. Kenpachi's body and blade with Mayuri's intellect, regeneration and various forms of body enhancements.. yikes if they could ever get along long enough to fight together.

The thing about Mayuri is that he is in many respects a villain: ruthless, insane and sadistic. The difference is that his mad genius is useful to Soul Society. Ryuusei Nakao the perfect VA for Mayuri!👏👏 He brings out not only Mayuri's genius intellect, but also his insanity and cold ruthlessness👏👏

Everyone can outrun his nerves. The issue is seeing it coming in the first place. Mayuri is the first to figure out what the heck Pernida was doing, and that's because he was able to study Pernida while he attacked. No one else had that privilege

He crosses the entirety of Wahrwelt in the blink of an eye to go help fight Gerard. Hirenkyaku definitely helped Mayuri. However, flight isn't necessary to fight Pernida. In fact, Zaraki could probably cut any nerves that approached him before they could touch him if he knew what to look out for, like how Mayuri uses a jar of acid

Despite showing to be a freak and crazy character, Mayuri actually cares a lot for his comrades and subordinates. Without him captains like Rojoro, Kensei, Hitsugaya, Zaraki and lieutenants would've died. Truly was the GOAT of tybw arc.

Bleach anime proved one thing, that is no matter how much stronger a character is, he can only win against certain number of opponents. Like Gremmy lost against Kenpachi and kenpachi against pernida but Pernida lost against Mayuri, but doesn't mean Mayuri is stronger than Gremmy or kenpachi. If Mayuri faced gremmy and kenpachi faced pernida, both kenpachi and Mayuri would've lost. But thankfully soul reapers was lucky enough to encounter the opponents which they could defeat.
