A note on Mineta being scared. They are high schoolers just beginning training to one day be heroes. They are being attacked by professional villains. Imagine your first week or so in high school where you are taking special policing courses when you are suddenly sieged by professional mercenaries. Being frighten is to be expected. You are just starting. Not everyone is a Midoriya or a Bakugo.

Aizawa is the biggest badass in the show. I’m sorry, it’s easy to be a badass when your quirk can level a city with one punch, but being this badass when your power is literally “I can sometimes make people’s powers not work as long as I look at them”? That’s a whole new level of badassery.

Basically Mineta's power creates balls that trap opponents. If one gets stuck to you, there's no way to escape unless you wait for it to fall off on it's own. Which can be hours. It's the perfect villain capturing quirk really.

I always love how you see in this episode just how much Midoriya idolizes Bakugou when you see him use him as his inspiration to be brave rather than All Might. He wants to be LIKE All Might, sure, but it's telling that he said "Act like Kacchan" to psych himself up. It just breaks my heart that at this point Bakugou doesn't realize it.
