Those are simply the longest lasting fragrances in my collection. They contain around 40%+ of ISO E Super which would explain why you simply go anosmic to it. I tested Al Extreme on my son 2 years ago and he smelled amazing the whole day but he couldn't smell himself when asked. Just test it on someone else and come 2 meters close to them after 3 hours. I bet you'll change your view

Luka Papan you’re sensitive to ISO E super. I am too, i bought this and wanted by night which everyone calls beast mode and i thought i bought fakes they were so weak to me. I moved apartments, so my nose is not used to my new environment and i can catch whiffs of my cologne hours from application now. Also i get a decent amount of compliments (at least one a day) which let me know they last. And i’ve only been wearing those 2 and mancera hindu kush this winter

I 100% agree I would rate it a 9 in projection and longevity. I was shocked when they said it doesn't last long. Right now on my wrist I have Individuel and on my neck Versace the dreamer which is supposedly a beast but Encre Noire cuts through all that its strong. Really strong and lasts

i was about to comment the same thing. last year, i sprayed on the original encre noire in the morning, then went to work, and then to a friend's house in the evening he said he could still smell it (albeit, he didn't like it though...). as for a l'extreme, same thing. did about 3-4 sprays in the morning, and literally 12 hrs later at 9 PM, a coworker tells me he can still strongly smell my scent.

I never use Encre Noire before, but i use the extreme version and get 5 hours longevity with moderate projection & sillage, nothing special about that but it's smell sooo good

I blind-bought the original Encre Noire and fell in love with it after a couple days. Don't be fooled by the EDT concentration, it projects like crazy and is one of the few fragrances I can smell in my room for over a day after spraying (!). Truly a hidden gem, especially for that price. I've tested the whole series, I don't like the Sport at all (too soapy), and the A L'extreme is just different, not so hardcore which might make it easier to wear for some people.

@@natkobratko3198 In terms of "mass appealing" it's really tough to tell as they are unlike typical designer frags you'd smell on a daily basis. People often mention the Sport one to be the easiest to wear especially for younger guys and I might agree with that even though I don't really like it that much (to be fair they are all quite difficult if you're not used to this kind of scents). A L'extreme is probably the most refined one and for me the most satisfying to wear. They are all very specific scents so of course best to get samples of the whole series if you can.

I would describe the initial smell as intensely smoky and inky. As it starts to die down, it smells masculine, with a tad bit of soapiness, or should I say sweetness? I’m not in love with it, but I like it, and I can see why some people might not. However, as the day unwinds, it’s growing on me more and more. I don’t regret the purchase, but I’m not jaw-droppingly impressed. As a newbie, I would give this a solid 6.5 to 7 out of 10.

I personally love the Extreme and the Sport more than the Original. I find the Extreme smoother, woodier, dressier, even more masculine. The Sport is very pleasant and versatile, and as with the OG, I find these two both to be pretty Unisex. Not the Extreme though, it's very manly to me. But of the three, Extreme is my favorite. And I get 5-6 hours on skin and clothes, however, I live in the Caribbean, so it's hot. If I lived somewhere where it got cold, I'd probably get better performance from it.

how is performance for sport? for me, a l'extreme is a strong performer. i get 12 hours with 4 sprays. i say this because i sprayed it one one morning and went to work, and around 9 PM, a coworker was telling me my scent was really strong.

Encre Noire is an EDT so of course it will project better since it has more alcohol in it. A L'extreme is an EDP so more oil will last longer but not project as far.... Typically anyways

A ' LExtreme has more deeper resinous facets, I found it last longer on my skin than the original but only just. It depends on your skin and kudos to the sport as well, I love the whole line!

I tried a sample of the emcee noire and it smelled better and louder and Is defiently a very “casket “ smell. The extreme seems to not be as strong, and leans more of spices, not in a smooth way though. It has a little bit of warmth while still carrying the “woody” part of the casket but not the casket itself. It’s okay.

Is it just me or does the opening of the Extreme smell just like Jim Beam? Once it settles down, however, it's absolutely stunning. Huge compliment getter on the right person. It announces your presence and exerts your authority! Reminds me of Bentley Intense but sharper and earthier.

Once upon a time the term "extreme" did mean the same fragrance but longer lasting. I remember when I liked Dior Eau Sauvage and they released Eau Sauvage Extreme and it was exactly the same only it lasted longer. Nowadays the designers use the term loosely.

I just have the extreme. It's a tough wear. Nothing really pleasant about it. Smells like a piece of lumber sprayed with mosquito repellent. Last time I wore I had a few people comment that I smelled like chemicals. It resides in the box of blind buys that I have a hard time wearing. Everyone has different taste though. Try it before you buy it.

I own all three.. And I have to say the original is on another level, but again it's hard ranking them as they're elegant on there own. Encre noire 👉🏾"The master piece" elegant woody smell. Sport👉🏾 "The classy one" in its dry down phase it smells exactly like the OG but weak/faint. A'l extreme👉🏾smells like an elegant wood workshop.

Encre Noire could possibly be the weakest fragrance in my collection, at least bottom three. You really need to go heavy on the trigger with that one if you want anyone else to notice it. I was very surprised by this since I had the Sport version before and that one is much much stronger. A bit sad because I like the smell of the OG more.
