Thank you for covering this issue. It's a nuisance for pedestrian and parking but again livelihood is more important. Not against the vendors but they need to be shifted somewhere under a proper rooftop under KMC authority.

Wherever there is space for a market it is already occupied by non local. Now major market is dominated by non local be it BOC market or NST market areas. Thanks to all those individuals and groups, union etc land owners for giving their best for non local to establish their business hub. A Day will come when you have to call them as dada, boss etc. Indeed Kudos to local vendors who are giving their best even without a space they are fighting daily day and night for their leaving may God bless them with good healthy and keep them safe. This is Kohima Smart city. Responsible authority must try to find another place for these local vegetable vendors as they are encroaching public footpath and it is illegal. I doubt someone is collecting daily tax from these vendors.

Why getting jealous by everyone when local vendors are earning by hard work. There are a lot of non locals vendors occupying the space specially from razhu point, near oking, PHQ but no one complain. If locals vendors are selling why complaining like a small child or we don't want them to earn . I'm a regular customer of street vendors of kohima town and I know the place very well.

Just because they are broke or single mothers doesn't mean they have the right to encroach and obstruct thousands of pedestrians that crosses the path. Hope the administration in corcern find a way to solve the issue or else, don't use such despair as a shield at the expense of general public.

Hello hornbill if u are watching this pls do the coverage of the meat that we get also..... Everytime we go n buy meat especially beef they will give more bones than the meat and when we complain they scold us back..... I know that bones are compulsary but atleast do 40%bones n 60% meat but its a complete opposite being from a big n poor family we can't share bones n eat bones....

Highly appreciate Hornbil TV for timely coverage this urgent issues. While respect the dignity of labour render by women's vendors of kohima but kohima being undergoing smart city development where footpath were beautiful build but again it creat dirty n spoil again n it creat lot of inconveniences by the pedestrian coz vendors occupy half of the newly constructed footpath n pedestrian compile to walk even inside the main road it creat another inconvenience n disturbing by the driver. Therefore, I urge kmc or responsible authority to immediately look into this issue or arrange alternative site for vendors.
