i'm one of the guys who used statistics and frequency analysis to work out the solution :) (and it was correct, eve the 3 numbers at the end) it did indeed take me a bit more than an hour, but it was a totally FUN hour. i'd be in for that anytime again! especially if there is such a beautiful processor to win :)

Oh, so it was ASCII in decimal. I was trying to decode it assuming it's in hexadecimal. Also I didn't recognise the resistor color code and only figured out that orange-red is space because it's the most common couple of colors.

Hex wouldn't work because there is no color for A, to F... :-)

@@PlaywithJunk There could be. I was thinking about the 4-bit RGBI values of the colors, so each square could correspond to a hex digit, and this way, two squares represent an ASCII character. I didn't think about resistor color codes, but turned out I wasn't so far off the solution. :)
