The response to my unsolicited email even though I hadn't bought anything off of you at that point in time via loom was a killer deal closer! I knew I was going with the right guy for training the minute the Loom response came through! Keep it up Adam!

I have a typical tough objection, used mostly be seniors at the door. They explain they know the roof is swiss cheese, but they know they won't live long enough to see the return on a new roof. I always end up trapped talking about how great our perfect solution roofing is for their kids and how much the value of the house will go up. Always seems awkwardly sort of dark. But always a laugh shared. Seniors are my favorite people. (I am a professional marketer in the field. 1 month in. I listen to your vids all day everyday. Keeps me focused. And stopped me from quitting on it.)

Hey Ashton! I've seen this one as well. It's a weird one to face because of how morbid it is. You're approaching it the right way by addressing the fact that it will be a huge relief to their children and/or the estate as it WILL become a hangup when it comes time for the property to change hands. In addition, I would focus on the fact that even though they aren't concerned about the life left in the roof, they should be aware that any future damage, leaks. etc that MAY be linked to the initial storm damage may not be covered by the insurance because they didn't take action on filing the initial claim to PREVENT future damage from occurring. Hope this helps!

If it’s a constant objection I would try to emphasize the importance of passing on things of value to our kids. Emphasize the value of longevity without directly saying “after your passing”. Just plant the seeds from the beginning to completely avoid the objection

Hey Chris! Appreciate ya man 🙏and welcome to the industry! At this point, I typically have companies join me on location at my office or a conference center near by. I do work something out to travel to a company if they have multiple locations or 15+ reps. I wish I could accommodate every request to travel and meet face to face because I love it! BTW, with your experience in car sales, you should do very well here in roofing sales. The biggest lesson to learn is how to establish the need, because in car sales - the need has been established (that's why the customer comes to the dealer). Glad to have you here and comment on any videos. I read and reply to darn-near all of 'em!

Doesn’t the insurance companies want to see invoices from the contractor? How can a homeowner get the roof for less? The insurance company is only going to pay out what the roofing company does the work for. How are they pocketing money?
@TheRoofStrategist
@TheRoofStrategist 3 жыл бұрын
YES 100%. You are right on all counts. The insurance company will want to see the invoice. I'm actually publishing a video on this very topic in the next week or so :)_

What is the best tactic if the homeowner wants to think things over with their spouse (that is not there) if you know that they might have another company coming by after you? Do you want to be the first person in front of them or the last? Yes, even if you set up an additional appointment a few days later.
@TheRoofStrategist
@TheRoofStrategist 3 жыл бұрын
GREAT question! First of all, every single time you leave a house WITHOUT closing the deal, you want to have your follow up appointment set in stone (either in person or a phone call). These 2 videos will help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/noXHiaeXjtmbqc0 and this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3zSl3aVat2DbpI Also, I ALWAYS recommend offering to come back and review the other estimates side by side or "Apples to Apples." Make sense?
@christianb.5626
@christianb.5626 3 жыл бұрын
Newbie question: Would it not be suitable to explain that your company invoices the insurance for the rest of the work so regardless of what price the estimates say, they are only responsible for their deductible? I am a bit confused on how price really doesn’t matter if you invoice the insurance after for the remaining amount after they pay their first check.
@TheRoofStrategist
@TheRoofStrategist 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Christian, great question. YES we will of course invoice the final amount due, including any supplements. That is very important to communicate. GREAT catch. The "big idea" about breaking down the price aspect is to keep people focused on the ASSESSMENT and not worry about "dollar vs. dollar" comparisons. I go into detail on that in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKGcXmBseqiId68 Take a peek and drop any comments :) Be well my dude!
