I've never seen so much tributes to honor the retirement of a boxer... you can tell how epic his career was, the memories he has given us, achievements he has gained that will never be seen again and the life story he's had that transcended the sport of boxing... If this isn't proof enough that he is the greatest ever, all you have to look at is the dramatic reaction the world is giving after he announced his retirement.. as compared to Floyd or anyone else when they announced their retirement. It's not about the losses, it's about the battles, the legacy in and out of the ring, and the phenomenal decorated career pacquiao has given, that makes him debatably the Greatest of all time... No wonder the WBC crowned him as the fighter of the century and only one to recieve the champion for life title..
@tigerstripe31703 жыл бұрын
And mayweathers face is on the WBC belt alongside ali LMAO everyone knew floyd was retiring after he 49th fight manny announcement came unexpected and u cant judge a fighters statues based on tbe reaction of his retirement manny does not come close to Ali SRR Henry Armstrong even floyd
@ryh.69843 жыл бұрын
@@tigerstripe3170 Ali and Manny has been compared by many pros because of their contributions in and out of the ring.. Mike tyson, Max Kellerman, Skip and Shannon, Teddy Atlas, you name it.. they've said it... I don't think anyone at all has ever said.. "Mayweather is the peoples champ".. as for his face on the wbc belt... the guy just literally retired.. you expect him to be on the studs.. face it.. Your boi, Floyd ain't coming close to the career he's had.. considering pacquiao came all the way up from fly weight and still manage to be a force to be reckoned with against floyd.. who admittedly said that pacquiao was the best fighter he had fought.. shows.. that "pound 4 pound" (literally on the title).. pacquiao was more impressive as a fighter.. Again.. the fact that a naturally smaller and lighter guy.. managed to reach 8 divisions as champ.. which could have been 10.. if he didn't skip 2 weight classes to fight Dela hoya.. is crazy enough.. but the thought that he also beat 5 lineal champions on his way up makes it crazier.. and that he even managed to become the oldest super welterweight champ... is why the title pound for pound perfectly meets the description when mentioning pacquiao... only other guy I'd say greater is SRR.. Floyd is great, but if his only claim to fame is a 0, it's a diamond dozen... if he stayed as the pretty boy... with his aggressive style, entertaining matches, and didn't go with the money persona.. then I'd say... that's an actual debate of greatness and respect.. but no one will ever respect the fact that he picked and waited for perfect times to fight his opponents.. which he admited.. similar to what SRL isn't as respected when he beat Hearns.... When it comes down to it.. all you gotta do is look at the world around you.. if fans, media, and socials don't give him props.. there's a reason for that.. and it's not because of the racism card Floyd is spitting out.. Both are HoF, Floyd has one of the best defences the sport has seen..Pacquiao has one of the best offenses the sport has seen... but when it comes to the respect, admiration, achievements, legacy and lasting memory left by both.. you know pacquiao has the upper hand on floyd on those regards.. theres a quote.. a True champion isn't living like floyd.. but being loved like Pacquiao.. -Mike Tyson

tbh, he was also a replacement on De La Hoya fight. De La Hoya vs Mayweather rematch was set at 147lbs but Floyd decided to retire for 366 days so he can legally avoid the rematch clause. De La Hoya was finding opponent and he decided to pick Ricky Hatton but Ricky Hatton has an upcoming fight against Paulie Malignaggi so basically the fight was declined, then Pacquiao stepped as a replacement for the fight because De La Hoya want to fight someone while chasing for a Floyd Mayweather rematch. I always get teary eyed whenever I see his retirement speech... that crack on his voice tells you that he really loved the sport of Boxing... I'm glad that I've witnessed all of his battles, win or lose it was always a great fight... Thank you Manny!

Pacquiao indeed is legendary, definitely he is the only 8 Division World Champion, absolutely no doubt the GOAT. we can never witness again this kind of boxing prowess at a high level.

my pet monkey is smarter and better qualified as a politician compared to Manny Pacquaio! Manny is greedy,liar,illiterate ,can't even speak better Tagalog nor English and have a very slow comprehension and no knowledge of politics at all!! He will be a National shame to the Philippines if he (but i know he won't even win the presidential race) becomes a president!!
@pccjmdg52593 жыл бұрын
@@matsingka921 Mate that is underselling what he has accomplished in life and how hard he has worked to get to this point. Yes, his political career and future endeavors are not what the Philippines need at this time but do not discredit what he has done for our nation and the people he helped. He may not become our President and I am alright with that but looking down on a man who basically came from nothing and worked his way up to this point in life through the ways he knows how is a bit deplorable especially comparing him to a monkey makes it more of a disappointing take and basically just showing of plain hate for someone who is doing his best but may have bitten more than he can chew in the form of politics.

Manny definitely of the greatest. Even when he lost he returned to be even better! His record is beyond Mayweather Floyd Jr record, even his belts . When someone can win belts in FOUR DIFFERENT weight classes this is incredible! Manny did what NO fighter could ever do possible! No one can beat his record . He was so humble thru his losses ! UGAS NEVER BEAT MANNY IT WAS HIS AGE THAT STOPPED HIM! MANNY MUST RETIREE ! AT 42 HE WILL BE TAKING MORE RISKS . GGG WILL BE TAKING MORE RISKS AS WELL. Marquez gave Pacquiao the fight of his life ! Sending the Filipino flat on his face with lights out. The Mexican just was not going quit . Then Manny continued to fight two champions Thurman and Broner even Bradley as Manny took home their belts. No need to talk about Mayweather Floyd Jr.. - he ' s only best at hiding not fighting! Pacquiao deserves to be one of the best ever in history! 🌠🌠🌠🌠

That 2012 fight with Bradley is the worst judging in History. Pacquiao has many loses that are actually wins. Smh

And the fight with horn.. because Bradley was one of the judges on that fight, Bradley want to get even by letting horn the bs scores 🤣
@eetfuk35713 жыл бұрын
Pacquiao vs Horn has worse judges decision more than any fight I've seen in any combat sports. the Jones vs Reyes looks nothing compared to Pacquiao vs Horn.
