END OF LEASE // KICKDOWN | Nat Ex West Mids ADL Trident/Enviro400, 4814 (BX09 PFV) | Route 7 (PB)

All 30 of these BX09s (4799-4829) have now gone off lease since June and July, sold to Go Ahead through Dawson Rentals. So far the following fleet numbers have been confirmed:
Carousel Buses - 4806 (80951), 4807 (80952), 4808 (80953), 4810 (80954), 4812 (80955), 4814 (80956), 4821 (80957), 4826 (80958)
Pulhams Coaches - 4822 (80959), 4827 (80960)
The rest are said to be destined for Bluestar, Morebus and now Swindon’s Bus Company, though the quantity split between them is currently unknown to me (other than Swindon’s are to replace 371-379, ex London United SLEs)
Most of my focus on these BX09s will be in their new life but I wanted footage of a few before as well, so here’s 4814 (80956) on its old staple with some nice kickdown featured. If most of the batch are like this, I’ll be very happy to see them down south!

They look nice 😊. I think a trip to High Wycombe is in order. I love that whine in the gearbox on these - not the same in 2010 and newer models!

I think so too! And that’s because they are nice. Although I wouldn’t expect them to be frequently driven fast, Bucks bus drivers don’t tend to be fast at all I love the ZF whines too, they really remind me of many Euro 3 Tridents I knew and loved! I’m not sure why it’s different in Euro 5 E40Ds (some of which are 09 and 59 plate by the way) - possibly an age thing as they start getting more worn out? Definitely some are Ecolife (which don’t do it at all), I’m sure some are Ecomat too. Not quite sure what’s going on there

Shame they left nxwm these are the best batch of e400s that nxwm had but atleast we still have the 57 and 07 plates but I'm worried they might leave too when more of these boring BYDs enter service. Nxwm is going to be boring as fuck in the future😡. Topodyn E40Ds will be our only hope😔. Other than that I'm probally going to start losing interest in buses at nx after 10 years and have to travel to find interesting buses.
