It’s been my experience that when people spend time trying to “fix” others, it’s so that they don’t have time to actually fix themselves. Having been raised in the Christian church, I’ve met many intolerant, judgy people who seem not to have read the Bible. The saying: “Going to church makes you a Christian the way that being in a garage makes you a car” comes to mind. ODAAT and Happiest of New Years to you, Stephen. We love you!

That is the first time I’ve heard “converting “ someone to homosexuality compared to trying to convert someone to Christianity. 😂😂 Well done. I admire you so much, really!! You express your opinion, you stay in your own opinion, you explain very eloquently and accurately why it is your opinion, you don't get offensive with your words, you show your reactions and you don't shy away from also showing the less glittery bits of a vloggers life. Very refreshing. I read quite a few of the comments on yesterdays video and first thought I wouldn't comment at all online, because back when I was still on Facebook, I got caught up in a few nasty exchanges, without intending any negativity at all. But then I saw your balanced and confident mood in this one and I just switched to commenting anyway. Well done, Steven, really empowering. Thank you!

Omg you talking about Waterford crystal and T fal cookware brings me back to my days of slinging conveyor belt junk at Ye Old Service Merchandise! We are right around the same age so I KNOW you remember Serv Merch! HA! Also Linda seems like a peach, is very kind and generous to you but I hear you 100%, we can all be friends even if we don't believe the same things, and your example was spot on, I don't think the folks who are trying to push their god on you would appreciate you trying to talk them into "turning gay." You are very patient with your explanation and I'm hoping those folks will hear and understand the message. "To each their own, leave mine alone" is a great motto and pretty much says it all. Still hoping you'll come back to MHT so we can hit up the 5 or 6 thrift shops in my area! Happy New Year!!

Steven I am not one to push religion on anyone. Like you I am sober over 20 years and I know in the program they like to say you should find a higher power. Now I do have a higher power and that is fine for me but I just want to say that you are such a wonderful kind caring giving individual and I think that's all that matters. You seem like a very happy content person and my wish for you in the new year is that you don't have to keep asking people not to get you to find a "God". Thank you for another year of wonderful videos.❤❤

I understand Christians believe in what’s called the Great Commission to go and convert the entire world. But even when I was involved in it I found it awkward and less-constructive to give out leaflets or to ask your server if there’s anything you can pray for them about. Ugh, it’s too awkward and personal. Don’t press people about that stuff outside of a church setting everyone is consenting to be a part of it.

The $ on the card is the amount for Sprouts. Sprouts and Trader Joe's are my 2 favorites!! The brown iron thing at Goodwill looked like Fallopian Tubes actually...Modern Art you think? I was born and raised a Catholic. Not a church going individual. Tend to do things my own informal way. Don't preach the Bible to others. Just try to be a good and decent person...some days being better than others!!! Lol!! Do have an issue re people who profess to be Christian, quote the Bible and we know that they have done things to others that were not nice at all...hmm! What is that about? So don't come trying to impose your religious beliefs on me and I certainly won't impose mine on you...that's my opinion for what it is worth. Big hugs to Buddy and Eleanor!!

Thankfully their treats come in little tubes that they can't open without thumbs. Lol! Any dry treats I leave in a bowl for them to nibble on during my absence. They never seem to gobble them up just eating one at a time. They're great cats!
