School breakfast and lunches are provided. We still are not allowed to provide these yet ourselves. It does save us. But I do provide after school snacks for my grandkids. Our HEB in North Texas had those Cosmic Crisp apples on sale 2 weeks ago for 67 cents per pound! I bought about 25 pounds and turned them into apple sauce that I canned up with my new steam canner. Opened up a jar tonight for our German Potato Pancakes. YUMMY!!! Kroger has the exact same variety in their ad for this week at $1.99 per pound.

Well that was a completely different shopping experience, compared to doing it with Everett...lol, Bennett is pretty fun to shop with! 😂 why do they check your reciept, you go straight from the checkout to the door.? That doesn't happen here in NZ, though maybe it does at the one and only Costco here in Auckland.. .I live 8-9 hrs away from Akld, in Palmerston North. ❤

Good job helping Mom out. You need to consider a job as a Chef and/or a Baker. It suits you. Bennett is a trip... Mr Bongo Drums. Shopping with Bennett reminds me of shopping days with Bry... eons ago. Biggest shopping fiasco was when he was 3/4yo... went to a gourmet specialty grocer for an upcoming event. As the gentleman (helped me get everything I needed) was ringing me up, he paused, held up a small jar and said, "Did you want this too?" I looked at it a bit dumbfounded and said, "noooo". Bry chimed in and said he wants to "grow fishies". What was it: a $50 jar of caviar. Oy 🙄 Those melons are delicious - great pick 🍈 I'm an oatmeal snob, as my Hubby lovingly calls me. I just can't do instant oatmeal. 5-Minute, Old Fashioned and Steel Cut Oats I love, but instant oatmeal tastes and looks like cement putty 🫤 I love my anti-fatigue mat. I wish I'd known about them a long time ago, but since I have one, I've never looked back 😌 I'm with Bennett on the Kombucha. That's worse than cement putty and beets (the bane of my existence) combined 🤢 I've never tried that brand of Bombay Potatoes, but I have made a simple recipe that was yummy. See below 🥔 Our favorite hot sauce is Crystals. Costco and Sam’s club don’t bag items. They are way too bulky. They do provide large boxes if you would like to take them. It is optional.

Have you seen the beef and short rib lasagna in the refrigerated section? It’s been on sale at my Costco the last few weeks so I bought one. I actually don’t like either of the freezer lasagna Costco carries, but I really like the beef and short rib refrigerator one. Much better than any other store bought lasagna I have had.

In Canada it depends on the province.When my kids lived in B.C no school supplies were needed as they all used laptops and school is paperless. In Ontario it depends on our school. Catholic schools you have to buy everything and public schools very little.All my kids are in high school and I buy them a small amount of school supplies they use. Since tax rates are lower in the US schools are poorly funded and you must supple all that kids need.

Is Costco where you do all your grocery shopping? How often do you go? If like once a week, how do you get by with 2 gallons for 4 boys?!! When my son was still at home, I bought 4 gallons of milk a week for 3 of us!! Many a cashier would say “oh you must have a lot of kids at home” & I’d say “ no, just one, but we all love milk!”
