hi guys, i had to trim a 13 second bit out of this video around 28:00 as, despite being a royalty free song, someone was trying to claim ALL of this video's ad revenue citing that song as something they owned. i'd rather just trim it out and have that be that than deal with the broken youtube copyright system which places all the risk on me should i try to defend myself.

My favorite thing about this whole saga is that someone like Eddie exists, living in Stormwind with diplomatic immunity. A real sense of community is something that has been missing in WoW for over a decade.

As someone who doesnt play can you explain about eddie haha
@TehWarsmithSA2 жыл бұрын
@@romptown This all takes place on a PVP server, which means that everyone is fair game at all times, regardless of where they are or what level they are. Anything goes, no one is safe. Most players of the opposing faction are kill-on-sight. Eddie is a guy who has created an RP concept so charming that Alliance players have willingly agreed not to kill him, in Stormwind, their most populated capitol city. Grobbulus is a *roleplaying* PVP server, which doesn't actually technically mean anything gameplay-wise, but it attracts a certain kind of player. Players like Eddie. And the kind of people who would leave him unmolested and free, in a game characterized for many years now by extremely toxic behavior towards people of the opposing faction. Eddie is a treasure and Grobbulus is a treasure of a community for treasuring him.

This comment will most likely never be read, but, absolutely LOVE Hearthstone referencing Barney with the Scarab Lord card being a Undead Rougue wearing red with daggers who says "I am not just a Scarab Lord. Dalaena here, literally dead in the water @ 54:52. Just to share my corner of this miserable experience, our guild Ashes of the Phoenix had spent endless hours farming for a single scarab lord, and were griefed the night before trying to farm for the Ashenvale dragon drop. Our scarab lord, Achelos, managed to get caught up to the arcanite buoy at the exact moment you did, and we found ourselves out in Azshara with half the raid staring down the Horde. Not ideal, heh. We thought YOU GUYS were another griefing raid there to stonewall us from finishing the last part of the chain. I was almost certain it wasn't going to get done after all that work. We were partnered with another small guild, NaCl, and their scarab lord Syr who showed up moments after your kill to help us finish up our own fishing expedition. Very glad you all were just there to do the content and didn't stick around. I'm also amused I managed to make the cut for this epic tale... just for getting cut by Barnybee.

I felt genuine emotions from this series. I didn't know KZbin could do that.

This is a masterpiece, it's like finishing the Harry potter films. I'm left with an abject sense of loss, as I can never experience this for the first time again.

This video is the ending we have been waiting for. I’ve been watching throughout the day at work and I’m gonna watch the whole thing once I get home at once. EP 3 was great, I loved the Caverns of Time focus on there. 1 and 2 were epic, but this…..this video was indescribable. I loved the narration and the lore. When that music kicked in at 32:30 I got chills. This video (41 minutes in as I write this) is an absolute masterpiece. Spoilers because I finally finished it and need to scream….. - - - - - - - - I JUST GOT TO THE END!!!!!! I screamed when I saw that you got it! I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!

The song from that timestamp really is good. It seems to be a mashup or remix of Ridge Racers - Disco Ball and Bad Apple!! Couldn't find it however on the list, nor had any luck finding it on my own. Anyone got any clues? Would love to know where that piece comes from!

i found this video series a week or two ago and i can’t stop watching it. it’s very good content, exceptional editing, entertaining storytelling, delightful music choices- i keep bopping during the run through STV to duskwood- but more than anything it reminds me a lot of the good ol’ days. i picked up wow… probably halfway through wod, i think? i’d been watching my dad play for as long as i can remember, but i was at his place one time and asking him a few too many questions and he asked me if i wanted to try flying around a bit while he worked on supper in the other room. and then he had me doing his mythril mining loops in the badlands when he had to do other stuff. when i made my first character he taught me a few basic rotations for his main class (hunter; he couldn’t stand cast timers and he hated mucking around in melee range), and then taught me basic group courtesy when i started trying lfg dungeon levelling. stuff like when to dismiss pets and how to disable pet taunt auto-casting. he also taught me about feeding your hunter pets because he somehow missed when pet loyalty was removed. he was the one who made fun of me for trying to learn how to heal dungeons. he used to talk a lot about the good ol’ days of raiding, of doing icc with my uncle tom’s guild and astonishing people with some wasp pet ability that he pulled out on marrowgar. how he got into wow in the first place because my uncle tom, who he played a lot of diablo with, said “hey dan, you like playing barb a lot. how would you feel about playing something like that in this new blizzard game?” my dad ended up despising warrior, and that was that. i ended up getting my own account around legion’s launch, because i wanted to be able to play with my dad properly, but he was getting so sick he couldn’t work anymore and so we both ended up playing on my account. i remember when i took up tailoring to make bags for both of us (and to ah) he would do naxx runs while i was in school to farm greens so i could make frostweave bags with the DE mats. he texted me once in the middle of class to brag how he’d finally gotten the second binding from MC so he could make thunderfury for tmog- before he realized he didn’t have any characters that could use it. he was so excited when classic was announced. i had paid for a six-month subscription so that we could both play without worrying too much about getting more game time. i got distracted right after school started with academic stuff, but he kept on trucking. he was telling me all these stories about when he played vanilla. he wanted to go raiding again. he was thinking about getting a proper gaming headset again, about downloading discord for when he settled in with a raiding guild. he passed early in the morning, new years day, 2020. a massive heart attack maybe an hour or two after midnight. after my family had made arrangements for the service and i’d headed back to school for the first week of term, i realized that his guildies were probably wondering where the hell he was. he was the type who played every day, if just to check his mail. i was the one who told them he was gone. he was so excited for AQ to come out, to see something of how insane it all was. he was looking forward to showing it to me. i ended up dropping wow for the most part. it was still fun, of course, but it made me too sad. it hurt too much. i never really saw… any of it, at least not firsthand. i didn’t really want to, without him. so thank you for showing us, for making it fun, even though it took so long and so much effort, even if now it’s years after the fact. it’s been a wonderful adventure.

Im actually glad I just found out this story exists, so I could watch it in its entirity back to back. Haven’t been this hooked to a story for a long time. The writing, the editing, the suspense is on a whole other level. Congratulations and thanks for making this.

It’s quite beautiful how you bring people together like this. Perfectly edited. Subscribed :)
@Yagizino2 жыл бұрын
How is this bringing people together, the players would play together anyway, the alliance vs horde bend that wow and barny have are just divisive making the experience less fun for everyone. These communities are extremely toxic and barnys videos are just showing the well cut best parts of them.
@GalatheonIL52NEP2 жыл бұрын
@@Yagizino Nah, stuff like this is what creates memories for people. If they don't like it well what are they doing on a PvP server? Literally everyone banding together, messaging about his location and heading there to take him out, it's insane how many turned up!

23:55 From that moment I knew, I KNEW, Barny had gotten Scarablord. Anyway, this video series is probably the best thing on KZbin ever, and I don't even play WoW. Well worth the wait. Now I just wish I had more people to share this with who are willing to sit through 3 hours of WoW content.

I don’t think I can possibly stress enough how much not only this video is amazing but this whole series. It was captivating from beginning to end. One area I don’t think you get enough credit for is your music placemat. Especially that piano at the end when you got your dagger, then that cliffhanger that you need to go kill more bugs. I just adore your videos. I know how much you put into making them. I can’t wait to see more!
